Re: PlaceholderURL.com
Great one! Excellent acting all 'round, I *knew* it had to be written by Paul (a very "Paul" video, I thought). But what had me clapping with appreciation was this line:
"Well, I won't pretend to understand all this internet mumbo-jumbo but I do like boring things and not having my sensibilities challenged in any way."
In the one line it transforms "generic, busy executive" into an interesting character, brings closure to the premise and gets a big laugh. Bravo.
Also: "Placeholderurl.com…. is."

My expertise? I teach people how to pretend to beat the crap out of each other.
Is that EVER not useful?

Very good ep you guys. I love Paul's reaction to each and every slide, didn't get old, good comedy right there.

My god. It's somehow managed to be more bland than www.borington.com.
Seriously loved the video. Also, BEEJOOM!

Consider this signature a museum piece, since I love it and am unlikely to change it ever.

Re: PlaceholderURL.com
Uuuugghhh, that was the most cringe comedy I've sat through in a long time. The fact that Paul was cringing as he delivered the cringe comedy only made it worse. Or better. One of the two.
Well done, in any case.

I noticed that too, for some reason, even though I never pay much attention to the credits. Is that the first time they do that?

Nah, they've been doing that for a while. Started with Paul getting credited for "Doom Booties", and propagated from there so now pretty much everyone has their own unique credit for booming. They talk about it in this Loading Time and a few of the podcasts since.

Re: PlaceholderURL.com
I loved the video, but it seems like the 'placeholderURL.com... is' should have been before getting the funding. Getting the funding kinda seemed like it worked as the end, or maybe something small after that.
But then again, my opinion isn't worth much. I've just been in critiquing mode lately. Either way this is one of my favorite videos in a while.

I like that he went to the next slide when he totally didn't have to.

Re: PlaceholderURL.com
That's fair enough. I might have to back and watch the scene again a bit closer. But that was just my first thought at the end.

This.
There should be TONS of offensive, annoying banner and skyscraper ads. Think of all the ad-revenue LRR could generate!

Re: PlaceholderURL.com
This had Paul all over it, which I'm always excited for. Paul's writing tends to be more clever / intelligent. It seems dry sometimes, until you really get the whole video. Paul has always been my favorite writer of the crew.

Re: PlaceholderURL.com
I enjoyed the hell out of this vid!
Especially great was Paul's little "fuck." when he mentally crossed his fingers and clicked away from the title slide.
All in all it was a great, self-sufficient video, and only my intense curiosity left me with a question of "I wonder what his original pitch idea was supposed to be?" as the credits rolled.
Heh. LRR always satisfies.
