Learn all about batteries. How they were invented, what's in them, how many people they've killed...

That stinger literately had me in tears :P
I've never had frozen yoghurt, Is it just like ice cream or notably different?

Did I accidentally learn something during that sketch? It actually made me remember some of the research I did on batteries back in school in the 80's...er, I mean 90's! I mean...Last week, I'm not old dammit! Stop looking at me like that!

That was also a hilarious stinger, I really want to hear a LRRCast on how that came about.

That was fantastic guys, thanks for the pick me up at the end of a looooong day!

Is it weird that I can't help but think a lot of that is true? I may have lost the ability to tell the difference between reality and parody. I'm scarred, guys.

It was quite convincing.

Bacon Lead and Tomato sandwich cracked me up.

What's the deal with the discolouration in the lower corners from 4:35 to 5:00?

Delightful as usual. I could watch Paul walking toward/talking at a camera for hours.

But yeah, this has gotten to the point that for a good 75% of the time, I have no idea whether what you're saying is true or not. Which is kind of amazing.

Well for one thing the Baghdad Battery is real, although its status as an early battery is contested. And Galvani and Volta really did discover how to create a basic battery by studying a twitching frog.

And now you know the whole whole story.

There's always just enough truth in a Whole Story script to make it sound believable.
Juuuuust enough.

That's the vignette filter, which is actually in all the corners.

Watching it again, I see it's used in other scenes. I guess the particular background colours of that scene just made it a lot more obvious.

Also, I read that as vinaigrette filter. I'm sure there's a joke there to be made about salad.

As long as you don't go the other way and start dunking the camera in vinaigrette

"Now this video will be seasoned to perfection. Begin!"

On a side note, are whole story videos difficult to write or are they a sort of X ways to Y, which can be done quickly?

There was a surprising amount of stuff in that video that was within 6 degrees of separation of being factual... is that normal for Whole Story videos, and I'm only noticing it now because it's a topic I'm relatively familiar with?

That's 3 videos in a row now where Paul has been the only person in the thumbnail. Slowly but surely, his dominion grows...

You had me at remote-controlled vibrators :)

Stinger felt a bit too forced for me, but was funny nonetheless.

Hey, vegetable-based humour is MY shtick! Back off! :P

I would venture to guess that it started off with them genuinely not having a stinger, and then it just spiralled out into Paul and James playing it up for laughs.

It's normal, it's just that the truthful stuff in the history of batteries is so crazy that it blended better in this video.

Now we can have a new Feed Dump song

"Paul and James
Eating some Froyo
Who's that eating Froyo?
It's Paul and James"

It definitely seems like that video is ripe for a follow-up. It could certainly stand on its own while having references to the original.

I think this is my favorite "The Whole Story" episode. I'd have to say the quality of the LRR videos has really picked up lately. Feels like y'all may have recovered from the Desert Bus / Strip Search hangover just in time to kick into Desert Bus prep.

Just FYI to the LRR crew, the video description is missing the word "killed" on The Escapist.
