And without George, the beautiful and intelligent Mrs. Bailey becomes a fearful and timid librarian spinster. Most remarkable of all, her eyesight goes bad and she has to wear glasses.

It's like one of those dumb teen movies where all the "ugly" girl has to do to become attractive is let down her hair and take off her glasses, only in reverse.

You know, I always found It's a Wonderful Life to be offensive, because I work in a library and am not one of those fearful, timid spinster ladies with Coke bottle glasses. Some of us library employees are actually quite sexy.
