I'm sure I'm repeating what 100s of people have already said, but my first thought was, "Who did the voice? It's perfect." Although I was thinking the voice over for Red Alert "Unit Read" more than Starcraft. Really great work by Ash!

Cereally, tho guys, you're having a helluva year. That was genius. And, all things considered, I shouldn't have been surprised by what you decided to take on, either. Great work as ever.

I'm suprised you're not even mentioned on Kotaku yet what with the blatant use of their site in the video.

edit~
On Destructoid though!
http://www.destructoid.com/the-halocaus ... 6094.phtml

Which is infinitely more respectable.

2nd edit~
Just out of interest. Did you guys know that Gnop! (the pong clone) was actually the first game bungie ever made or was it just a play on the fact that Pong itself was the earliest game incarnation?

wait, you forgot

Postby foxtrot_MGS » 23 Sep 2007, 05:32

You forgot the part where Solid Snake comes and completely disamates master chief, leading to global thermal nuclear war between MGS fans boys and those of halo. After numerous peace talks between Microsoft and SONY the war is ended by the realese of Metal Gear Halo. In witch Master Chief joins FoxHound and him and Snake go on a mission into the mushroom kingdom. There they find the Covanets new secrect weapon Metal Bowser. On there jorney they find Mario, he has multiple gun shot wounds and is completely tripping on mushrooms . "They took luige, and they did unspeakable things with peach", "So many cuppa troppers!!!". He joins they're journey and they find Metal Bowser. There Snake finds Metal Bowser is really an old Soviet nationalist, who went undercover in the 80's and then all this crazy stuff happend. There's this huge battle and our heros come out on top. From there they form a blacker then black group deemed "Solid Mushroom Chief". A year later the group changes its name to...........

Revver is reporting 46,000 views. That means this is LRR's 5th most watched video, also meaning I was right, and that means someone owes me a cookie.

I looked on the pure pwnage forums and found this thread
http://www.purepwnage.com/forums/index. ... opic=62722

Never, NEVER lower yourselves to some of the people in this thread. i especially liked "that it is full of Halo-fanwankery"
I do not regret the things I've done, only those I did not do

I wonder if we should try editing-in a reference to the video on Wikipedia's HALO 3 page.

Add in a section on Halo Tributes or something and write about this. Under this same section would be stuff about Game Fuel and other items of that sort.

Foxtrot, I changed your avatar to something reasonably sized. Feel free to change it whatever you like, so long as it it's smaller that the one you were using.

Also, welcome to the forums!

The pong ending made me lol, hard. I've never been a huge fan of halo, but it doesn't stop me from appreciating the greatness of this video. The timing for it was perfect too. Congratz
