Was this weeks video changed at the last min?

The teaser really had nothing to do with it at all.

I agree on that account.

I agree on that account.

The blank screen (combined with the fact that he wasn't calling the cops) was supposed to have indicated a dead battery.

Unless that was just Morgan, James and I recording voice parts onto the laptop, and framed weirdly thanks to Ben's odd shooting.

So did you do the voices first and play the soundtrack for Paul, or did you record Paul first and sync the voices to the video? I'm guessing soundtrack first.

And that picture of everyone admiring Matt was actually the voices being recorded.

Its a change, but i dont think it worked. I also did not understand the cellphone reference. Its nice to see something different, but not a favorite.

I havn't watched todays video yet. And I think i'll watch it in the morning cuz i'm half asleep right now. But I thought i'd point out it's already got 1,037 views :O

A hell of alot for only being up a few hours. Don't think it was online befor I went out tonight so it's pretty impressive. Although I could just be talking jibberish. My brain is mushy right now

I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Very risky, but I thought you all pulled it off well. Mega kudos to Paul for 4 and 1/2 straight minutes of being in front of the camera, in ONE shot! Also, I found all the voices quite easy to differentiate, and the dialogue was interesting, original, and cracked me up. Strongly disagree with whoever said that grammar lessons = not funny. I'll definitely watch this one a few times (and not just because Jeremy makes me).

I loved that Morgan was being a grammar nazi as they break in the apartment "according to apa style..."
That and the word burgle, in general. :D

kudos to paul too, for avoiding the camera. I think it worked just fine as a video! good one!

Is it just me, or does Morgan sound like an old lady when he's whispering?

Graham was the grammar nazi.
And I thought at first that it was Matt, not Morgan.

Since there wasn't a cellphone reference, this is completely understandable.

This was hilarious, to the two Alaskans here.

Paul's expressions throughout are really the icing on the cake of a beautiful series of vocal and foley gags. Maybe I'm too old-fashioned or something, but I -loved- this. Great work!

I don't have any odd technical questions this time, either.

Also, How did Paul feel about having the camera hanging over his face for that long? Did he ever think that it was going to smash into his face?

How did you get a steady shot of him from overhead? I feel like one logical explanation would involve Graham straddling him on the bed, but that seems a little awkward and uncomfortable.

Watching it the first time was confusing.

Watching it the 2nd time was very enjoyable.

I think what was to blame was the confusion of voices and/or events.

Still a good experiment!

Elaro_de_par_là_bas wrote:You know that rabbit in Monty Python and The Holy Grail? Well, that duck is the rabbit's friend. It's a Killer Duck.

Which makes this video seven shades of hilarious.

As for those who naysay the video format, check out Paul's expression near the end. Scared of the Killer Duck!

How could I forget the Killer Rabbit! Now it makes sense!!!
Thank you, I have been enlightened.

It took the earlier advice of making it like a radio play and I rofled quite a bit. Though when I tried to just watch it with Paul I got bored.

Working it as a Radio-Play thing though it's absolutely hilarious, though some parts were a bit confusing with the lack of visuals. It all worked out in the end. Sorta.

I got the idea pretty quickly that we weren't cutting to another shot, and I got that was the "hook" of the movie.

I also understood he didn't phone the police because his phone wasn't working.

I did not understand why he still kept quiet once a police officer arrived. (Except that it would violate the hook.) ((Unless he already knew the duck was trouble.))
