the PS3 has 512MB system RAM and 512 MB dedicated video RAM. the Xbox has 1Gb RAM split between system and video(Intel video card, I am t3h sad! *cry*). My laptop has 1.5GB split between system and video. My desktop has .75GB system and 128MB dedicated video.
I was going to comment on how more RAM would have bloated both systems' prices even further, but given the RAM upgrade for my laptop was a mere $50, that argument fails...
However, that is not the discussion for this thread. The discussion for this thread is that the video was great. Fantastic writing and performance.
[edit] again. I was wrong: the PS3 has 256 MB of dedicated system RAM and 256 MB of dedicated video, the X360 has 512 split.
laaaaaaaaaaaame!

Ram
Well on the PS3 as soon as my warrenty runs out I'm opening it to see If I can add Ram. And praying that is Isn't the expensive 200pin type.
ANd so far I believe I've failed to say that the video tied in nicely with what has happened over the last week and a half
edit: I do have connections to get a copy of ET for the Atari and perhaps the console it's self. (My mom's friend, what else was I supposed to do?)

If you know what CE OS stands for please let me know!
why would you actually want to get a copy of ET for the Atari, unless you had to review the game for some reason? Are you some kind of bizarre masochist or something?
I totally agree on the RAM upgrade thing, though.
Hey, your Xbox has redringed, right? You still have it, right?
I happen to have found a website with instructions on fixing it yourself, and while you're inside, you could look into upgrading the RAM capacity of that, as well.

Unfortunatly, my attempts at fixing my Xbox 360 kind of killed it... (cough)fire(cough). The story is, I tried the towel fix after MS voided my warrenty, but when I came back to check on it (thank god I did) it had been on fire. After extinguishing it it was a blackened mass of parts.
At least I only had about 4 games.
As for ET it is my Mom's friend's. I played it once accully, it was REEEEEELY bad!
Perhaps next time ET for hope?
I could see it now......

..........<censored><censored>............. you tried the TOWEL trick on a console that already generates alot of heat when it's not covered by fluffy warm things? You know common sense would have already told you that was a very very very bad idea <_<
Friend of the Lemon Tree, Perhaps you forgot.

I never could understand the towel trick. That seems to me like trying to extinguish a fire by throwing gasoline on it. Megas330's unfortunate experience appears to be a case in point.
Anyway, I'm currently working on my own Desert Bus shirt to commemorate the LRR eventstravaganza. I'll post here or make a new thread or something with photos when it is complete.

It may have lit fire because I put the power brick in with it. Anyway it did this on a concrete floor, so it didn't light anything else on fire.
Edit: The Story: THe Xbox had been roasting for an hour when I started to smell faint hints of burning plastic. So I went to where it was and found it smoldering, but when I opened the towel (carefully) the rush of air caused it to just burst into flames. SO I rushed to the nearest fire extinguisher and proceded to extinguish it. I then just threw away the parts. There is a large black mark on my basement floor now, so now it is covered with a rug to keep my parents from noticing.
Also:Whan are the podcasts to the Stages and LRRreview coming out? Anyone know?

Umm dude, 1 hour? If you are gonna do the towel trick you should only leave it on for 10-20 minutes tops.
And the Desert Bus recap was counted as last week podcast, so it looks like they'll cover both videos in the next podcast.
