The 2007 Christmas Special

Postby Paul » 21 Dec 2007, 16:40

We just had so many ideas for fun Christmas stuff that we decided to do a kind of yuletide Rapidfire.

Happy whatever mid-winter festival you choose celebrate!

There's something seriously wrong with the intro title screen.

I love that Jer's character is always presented leaning towards one side. He's crooked. Awesome.

Although there were quite a few LOL moments, the skits as a whole seemed a bit weak.

Rapidfire: 6??

Seriously, this video may have been longer than usual but I laughed through every minute of it. My eyes are watering as I write this. I often dread what sort of Xmas/Holiday/Seasons Greetings/messages my favourite sources of internet entertainment will crank out each year, but LRR is consistently excellent. Thanks!

... I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but at 2:20-ish Matt's hand disappears when he's startled awake. Whoopsy, I suppose. :/

Even with that slight mishap, Rapidfire: Christmas was still a mission accomplished. I thought it was funny (maybe not side-splittingly funny, but at least a solid chuckle, nonetheless) Good job, guys!

No, no. That's an effect of his time-traveling double. Getting too close causes a Time-Paradoxâ„¢ like we just saw. Hence, Matt nearly losing his hand there. LRR are really good at including little subtleties like that in their sci-fi skits.

Yeah, new glasses. As I recall, it was right about the time of the Desert Bus drive.

I really loved that one. REALLY loved it. The Yummies cake and Gravitic Warp bits had me LOLing a lot. And Easter in December will be coming to QVC next year I'm sure.

But my favourite bit?

'CALL IN THE REINDEER!'

Merry Christmas to you :D

I love this. I laughed much more at this week's video than last week's.

Not that last week's video wasn't funny of course, but, y'know... "CHRISSMASS! Dun dun dun dunun dun..."

Also, this one felt a little retro, like some of the older videos you guys made. Maybe it was the "rapidfire" or the camerawork, I don't know. Not that I'm complaining, of course.

Ah, this was fun. Some favorite bits:
"Summon the reindeer!"
"And we're going to give that to him?"
CSI
The Top Secret folder makes that tired Christmas fire so much more interesting!

Thanks folks!
