I admit that I have done it on occasion. Especially when I lay down on my bed and watch tv and just crash.

Also, I asked this in the podcast thread for Lock Out, but do you all plan on foregoing the podcast for this week to spend more time with family, as Monday is Christmas Eve? If so, let us know, and have a great holiday.

I wouldn't be able to read it at all if i didn't already know what it said. >_<

PS. Season Greetings!
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all ....

One cannot help but wonder why a mathematician - Tennenbaum - would have a song about him on the Gravitic Christmas album, but hey!

Good video. <3

It should be noted that 'Little Adam' and 'William', as named in the video, are direct references to Adam and Bill, and their respective hometowns.

I don't know Tim, though.

I had a little trouble getting the point of the "Christmas Wish" skit.

I take it that there's a reference involved. Is it a Canadian thing?

The 'point' is that he gets tired of the crap they're giving away to kids who are claiming it's for reasons other than 'I want this', and decides he's going to take them for himself, sell them on Ebay(because they're hard to buy around the Christmas season), and take a vacation.

How hard is that to get?

I wasn't sure that was the case at first. Until they get to the long list of stuff for the dog, they're fairly plausible.

Also, I didn't know what "Christmas Wish" is supposed to be about. We don't have that here, and I possessed no referent for it.

So you didn't get the joke until they got to the end of it and delivered the line?

Good, congratulations. You listened to an entire joke!

Pious, while I don't agree with Allens condescending tone, I do agree with him on the point. How could you not understand the joke? The idea was to start it off with a reasonably agreeable parody of a casual Christmas "And this is what a charity is doing for little Timmy" kind of show. Then they were to present a slightly bizarre request, but with a reasonable reason behind it. Moving on, basically the requests get more elaborate and the reasons less plausible, making the joke that these kids are just greedy little bastards who are out to satisfy their own needs at peoples good will.

And this children, reveals the true nature of Christmas! The gift if giving overshadowed by my favourite sin: GREEEEEEEED!

Some guy at the EB at Mayfair tried to get me to buy one of those mini PS3 and use it as a device to store all his cards in, like a wallet.

But I didn't see it as bizarre at all, especially given that they'd just granted the previous similar request.

The Christmas Wish was a thing one the Seattle stations used to air around this time of year. And I was watching it, and they totally had kids asking for video game systems "to play with their grandfather". And here's me sitting there, age 12, thinking "those clever bastards!"

The Mini PS3s are gift card tins you can buy at EB. They also have mini 360s, Wiis, PS2s, PSPs and DSs.

Any chance we will be getting a Gravitic Warp and 64k mashup anytime soon?

Like Jay-Z and Linkin Park only this would be GOOD...

Gravitic Warp singing all of Silent Night would be quite amusing.
