I love concept humor... fantastic work, guys. And the special effects, wow.

"Let's obliterate these literati!"

"Wait a minute, that's too clever... you're one of them!"

Quasi-Important notes: when greenscreening, you shouldn't turn your head too far, or your faces begin reflecting the greenscreen and the edges disappear.

Matt's glasses, when lit from above, cast shadows on his face that make him look older.

Well, obviously it was future Matt who, after giving his Christmas warning to present Matt, didn't go back to the future, and is now trying to take Matt's place.

I didn't know the strike was actually still going on. A couple of weeks off work with no radio and I've got no clue about the rest of the world.

Thankfully it's not reached over here so Torchwood and the Doctor will be out soon

The video was great, except for the part where Paul's face looks cut, but everything else was good :D

Is running away from reality

Any real relation to the name Brain Evans? Or just one of those random names?

And the fox simile made me laugh rather hard, good work guys.

I felt this, too. The joke was made about half-way through its delivery, and the rest of it felt like, "Yeah ... We already got the joke ... You can move on now."

That feeling of it's gone on a little bit longer than it should is hilarious in and of it self though. It's along the same lines as the hurt knee in family guy.

Oddly enough I'm making a video about a news team and I need news intro music stuff. Can you point me to where you got that music?

It's one of the jingles that come with iLife for the Mac, for use in iMovie or the like. It's called 'Broadcast News Medium.aif'.

I have to say it does feel a bit short, but I'm not sure how much more there is to get out of that topic. I'd rather watch a video that's a bit short, but really good, than one that's longer, but weaker.

Question: does it take more work to construct the logos, or to greenscreen individuals?

Is it harder or easier to greenscreen more than one person at a time?

I ask because I'd love to see Action 9 News become a semi-regular event with multiple newscasters. If the interviewees were taped on-site, instead of in front of a greenscreen, it might be possible to do this easily, yet hilariously.

That was good.

Your sleep time did not die in vain, Graham.

Sidenote: I support the strike. Not the writers, per-se, but the strike itself, I want it to continue as long as possible, until Hollywood collapses under the weight of its own bloat, and I shall then drive to Californicatia, and dance upon the ashes.

I don't watch live TV.

RE: the Writer's Strike. Hollywood should have hires writers that aren't in a guild. Then they wouldn't have this problem.

I thought it was a metajoke on how Action 9 News did not have writers anymore, and so the newscaster was left making things up as he was going.

Eh, it works on multiple levels.

Well the last part was because the teleprompter guy suddenly went on strike to support the WGA, so his last message before he left was the announcement that he was going on strike.

"The One With the Cucumber" must also be the one where you see Monica's "seven" put to good use. All the Friends fanatics know what I mean.

That looked VERY real, really nice job on all the special effects and everything. But..was it just me, or was Paul's nose cut off at the end?

Matt's awkwardness, and dogged insistence that Brian Evans could not possibly have had a baby himself, was intended to be that awkward so as to allude that—somehow—Brian Evans did have a baby himself.

I don't think that made it through, Graham.

All I got was that the newscaster felt the need to explicitly rule out the absurd conclusion everyone implicitly understood to be excluded.

Awesome video.

The editing was well worth staying up until wee early hours, for sure. Matt's jokes were funny.

And, I know that Broadcast News loop too well. I too stayed up until wee morning hours editing a project (for school) with that very same music.
Our group won the prize for editing/aesthetics, and yet the prize money was split between the entire group when I WAS THE ONE WHO STAYED UP UNTIL LIKE 2AM TRYING TO GET IT DONE ARGH

At first I thought you were going to go in that direction, as not to long ago I was reading about some research showing that it actually would be possible for a man to have a baby. (Egg artificially fertilized and implanted near the intestine, delivered via c-section). You don't want to know why I was looking that up.

Actually, they can also implant wombs into men now, and soon (if not now?) they will be functional...so men can go the whole nine yards, if they want to be a woman (except for the sexual pleasure part, but I don't even want to know how they'd do that...)
