Hey I'm back! (I disappeared for awhile) awesome video guys! Whow sooo good.
Love the divided by zero bulb!!
Its a shame you guys didn't try and make some plasma in the oven as well, I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere on youtube where you can make your own plasma balls to burn but I can't find where the heck I found it.
Anyway awesome vid!

... I would of gone with a grape that is almost, but not fully sliced into the microwave, and see what that does
(I here it creates arcs, if you put more than one grape like this in )
You could perhaps do it as a live webstream.
Green Eggs and Hampire
Ray here.
First talking video after many stealth cameo's and behind-the camera work, yayy but indeed Im a bit rusty. Ill say some of the things of our experiments, however most questions will be answered when you hear us talk in the upcoming LRRCast.
Indeed the video did have to be edited down for time and there is a lot of stuff you didn't see , such as the first microwave we used. We started on the medium sized one, but had problems with it showing up well on camera and thus we went to the 2nd one that was bigger and didn't have such bad glare. The third microwave we didn't use at all since the first 2 worked fine and there was no need unless our primary one died.
They were left outside since (they stank too much to take indoors) with a tarp on, but this morning a windstorm blew the tarp off and it rained. I hope they are still usable
Anyhoo for lack of words here are some pix of things I nuked before the LRR video:
Broken off bulb
moar broken bits
exploded outwards top of blacklite bulb
interesting shape of glass blown outwards
Chrome cap bulb that went much like the floodlight
Ehhh.... actually, I used to turn the hands of that clock all the time.
My hands are intact so I think im fine..
I think.... Also happy birthday duck.

If you do another microwave Sheer Stupidity why not put nothing inside it. I used my microwave once as a timer for boiling eggs because teh kitchen clock had broken. I had an amazing light show as light crackled into a ball towards the bottom centre of the microwave then moved upwards in a plume. Very nice. Took four minutes at full power to get it to do that.
Forgot to mention that those pictures I posted of the melted bulbs were taken by Ken.
As for marshmellow pics, I don't remember if they were taken; I didn't have the still camera.
Funny thing about an empty microwave, when my cousin was a kid he accidently turned on a microwave with max time (it was an old model that would probably take 9999999.) and forgot about it. It went on into the night without anyone noticing untill a burning smell came. When they found it, the roof of the microwave was melted into the center so basically the microwave imploded.
Or thats what he tells me.
Also yes, we did unplug it before dousing/extingushing the flames.
