Honestly, I've never played an MGS game, so I was expecting to not get much from this, but the video was made unbelievably awesome for me by five, and specifically five things:

1. Graham's breathy Snake impression. Fantastic!
2. Laura's stunning exasperation. She's a great addition to the LRR team.
3. James' outfit as the Bongo. So dramatic!
4. Paul's terrible super power. I laughed.
5. Jer's chest hair. Amitive! Also hot. XD He can use his super power on me any time.
6. Flatulent Goldfish?

No wait, number six is the WORST NAME for a villain... EVER.

I don't understand the people who don't get this video based on never playing MGS...I sorta wonder if they're just not giving it a chance since they don't have a grounding in the source material. I thought Cardboard Man was fuggin awesome and I had never read the comic, or even saw the trailer for the movie until after I saw the video. But ho wells, different strokes.

On that note, I'm glad you guys did an MGS skit--it's so ripe for parody, and you did a fantastic job of it.

Great ad for only one reason. The pure pwnage t-shirt that graham was wearing.

I mean, the rest was good but, <3 purepwnage

By the way, I really like the subtle framing & lighting effects during the character introductions.

.... This video should have been on Kotaku by now. Hmmm.

first thought at Nerf Gun Bongo's appearance: "Did they seriously spray-paint a pair of Nerf revolvers black for a Revolver Ocelot clone?"

Gram's Snake voice was... impressive, to say the least.

I wanna see what Flatulence Goldfish's special looks like.

Just thought I'd drop by and point out:

James is right, Bongo is a species of antelope*, and it can be found by looking in Wikipedia. It's actually the first link on the disambiguation page.

*Which, given the "Congo Jack" theme of Bongo's costume makes me think the team knew this. How they found it out is another matter...

Actually, the LoadingReadyWiki beat you to the punch on that one. But Laura's character makes a good point, it would be silly to make the player look things up to confirm they are animals.

Even though I hate that they've made Snake all old, yet still with the voice of someone who sounds like a 15 year old trying to be bad-ass, Graham's vocal inflections were an absolutely uncanny recreation (and yes, despite the fact that I said I hated the characters voice, that IS a compliment).

Also, at the end, James' boss character sounds a LOT like Bill. Just thought I'd mention that.

I liked the T-shirt ad. When Graham said "Sandstorm..." I immediately thought that song by Darude.

The return of the muscle suit! Last seen on El Poyo in Assessment, I believe?

Anyway, the return of Cardboard Man caught me off guard. I didn't expect him to appear again, but I had a feeling I should have expected it, considering how long it took to make.

The gas mask-wearing Flatulence Goldfish is obviously a tribute to Psycho Mantis, even the voice is similar. I liked that.

I take it the farting as an attack came right out of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, considering you added the slight pause before "farts" as Snake did in his line "By... farting? Are you kidding me?!"

I'd totally fight The Amativeness.

Although I wonder how someone named "Flatulent Goldfish" get an invitation.

And lastly... great job on the Snake voice, Graham.

A) it's EL POLLO.

B) Graham's recreation of the voice of Snake really is uncanny, but I wonder how Kathleen feels about it... Anyway, I agree on the delivery of "I take it by your name that your special attack is...faarts." Awesome.

C) Snake-Amitiveness Slash Fic anyone? I feel like you opened yourself to that somehow, guys.

And one nice touch that nobody has mentioned yet: the crinkly noise every time Goldfish moves.

I assumed Matt's suit was stuffed with cellophane wrappers. Or maybe newspaper.

I really want to see Snakes combat tips for old people. Would you mind if my sketch comedy troupe used that? Our version would be crap, but at least it would actualize.

I dunno Grif, I don't want to start seeing old people under my cardboard boxes all the time.

I can see it now. You're in the basement looking for something, and you lift up a box...

"Grandma?!"
Know that stinging sensation after a solid high-5? Thats what awesome feels like.
