I was waiting for that.

Yeah I pointed that out to a friend of mine. She's a lesbian, so it didn't take much effort to explain the concept to her :P

Americans* have some freaky slang, but then British slang can certainly be just as, if not more, wierd.

*I'm reasonably certain it's American slang

It's in the alpha stage, as it has been for the past four years and will probably continue to be for the foreseeable future, but it's perfectly playable - and AWESOME.

You may want to take a look at the Dwarf Fortress wiki to help you get started.

Thank you!

That was stupid & racist.

How was that in any way racist? It's a common stereotype/misconception that is akin to saying all canadians live in igloos. He wasn't making a value judgemt of you based on it, he was just making a goofy joke. To call his statemt racist is taking it way, WAY too seriously.

Thank you Matt. That was my point. It was me being goofy. Except for the me needing a nap around 3:45 in the afternoon. I'm always tired.

Mexicans:siesta :: Canadians:igloos :: Americans:rednecks, amiright?

Besides, do you realize that Mexico and Canada are looking like really viable living options to Americans now? Seriously, our government can't admit that there is a recession because it will "make the american public worry". Since when was "Ignore it and maybe it will go away" ever a sound economic plan? Not to mention that it seems like the presidential election seems to come down to "who sucks ass less", we are fighting two wars that basically suffer from "M*A*S*H syndrome" (lasting longer than the actual battles did), and the men we entrusted to lead us in our faith are twiddling our children.

Happy mother-fucking Independence Day.

Let's try to spend less time harping on the bad qualities of America and more time celebrating the humorous qualities of Canada. Eh?

I wouldn't choose to live anywhere but the USA.

That was a goose. A Canada Goose. Not quite a duck.

and more vicious. I always get attacked by geese. It's kinda scary, because they hiss like devil-creatures or something.

I watched the video, and laughed my head off till the end. At the end, I was rather saddened, and slightly angered. Why? 'cause you claim Hockey, beavers, and lumberjacks.
Well, I don't know about Hockey, but Oregon has beavers and lumberjacks, too! Oregon is the Beaver State, and we have the Portland Lumberjax, the Portland Lacrosse team. TAKE THAT! <_<

Otherwise, good video. BUT WHY IS CANADA TRYING TO STEAL MY BEAVER?!

I don't mean to be problematic, but yes, Canada, as a nation, I.E. post confederation, has had to send troops out to defend our soil from foreign invasion. I speak of the Fenian Raids which happened in the years after confederation, including a battle in 1868. These raids were by Irish nationalists, with covert support from the U.S government, aimed at providing a beachhead and basis for an invasion, which would somehow lead to Britain pulling all of their troops out of Ireland. The planned invasion never happened because of a lack of support and the raids were successfully repelled by the Canadian millitia at Eccles hill.

So yeah. A note from your friend Canadian history major.

Other than that, awesome vid!

Now that I watched the video for a second time I notied that the quality of the second anthem was about the same as the German entry to the Eurovision Song contest this year.

Other than that, the little dolly ride at the end really looks cool.

The beaver has been Canada's national animal since 1849.
Oregon's since 1969.
