:] aww, how cute. Sir Zack doesn't think I'm worth his time.

The Naruto reference got a laugh out of me, and I think Paul had the best role.

My only real complaint about some of the more recent videos is that a few of them felt like rush jobs. Sometimes very amusing rush jobs, but still hurried.

This one didn't give me that feeling - and it would seem Graham worked his butt off getting it done.

It shows!

No one ever said everyone had to like every video. Each time a movie is released in theaters does everyone go and see it? No. Because some people wont like the movie. You like the movie, fine. You dont like the movie, fine. But if your not going to say something constructive and are just trying to annoy people(either side) then just go somewhere else and gripe about it.

The reason I didn't give constructive criticism because I couldn't; I don't make movies, I just didn't find it funny. I've explained all my actions, and you'll find them quite reasonable.

I never once laughed throughout the whole thing. I later stated that this was too harsh.

Oh, and LRR has officially missed an update (not the first time). I was under the impression that a video released after monday counted as a miss.

Once again, let's move on.

# MGS4 Boss Auditions - Don't play MGS
# Inside D&D 4th Edition - Don't play D&D

I'm not sure I understand this. Did you go into watching these videos with the preconceived notion that, because you didn't play what they referred to, you wouldn't find them funny, and thus you subconsciously then made sure that was the case? I've never played MGS or D&D either, but I found both of those videos to be accessible to people with only a vague understanding of the games.

I did go into watching these videos with the preconceived notion that I wouldn't find them funny, but I don't think it was my subconscious that made it happen. It should be said, I watched MGS4 Boss Auditions through and through and was like "meh, ok", where as with D&D I just got bored.

I agree with Valandil, just because you aren't that familiar with the subject matter of a video doesn't make it unfunny. I've never played MGS4, D&D, or watched Naruto. I still found them funny, because the joke operated independently of the subject matter, and any background that you need to know for the joke to work is given in the video (such as in the Bioshock video, another game that I have yet to play, and still found the video hilarious).

I'll agree with Zack about MGS4 Boss Auditions(mentioned it in the Interview that I didn't really like it), but that's just my opinion, really. I still like the majority of the videos in recent months. And, as stated, I like this one, either in spite of, or because of, the deliberate camp.

Huzzah! Having to wait an extra day was kinda appropriate, this video was completely epic. Bill punching Matt in the face and Jer reaching for the ridiculous knife a second time were hilarious. Plus Bill's physical acting is the best since Gromit's.

Ganondorf has the best avatar, Frost's gives me seizures.

---

Seriously guys, The Kinda Second Zack voices an opinion and you start insulting him, what the hell? From one video I got called a "fucking british asshole", that I require "special needs" and "WTF those crackers aint shit gay ass hell" (not sure what that means). I couldn't care less.

Loading Ready Run isn't perfect; I think the video should have been more rapid because it dragged in places and it would have better suited the style; I think the gap without dialogue whilst Jer is going for the knife is too long. Loading Ready Run is the only forum I cared enough to join, all the flaming that goes on dissuades me.

Which is why I've learned to ask if I don't know the source material.
Hence: What was the deal with all the flashy hand signals? I haven't watched Naruto because the series has never been appealing to me but I have a feeling I'm missing a better joke because of that now.

Also, real ninjas don't wear orange jumpsuits. It's harder to remain hidden when you look like a deer hunter.

I reiterate.

He doesn't find it funny, and doesn't have anything constructive (He himself said so); sucks to be him. Doesn't mean we need to spend the majority of a discussion thread made for those who do think it funny or have constructive criticism talking about it.

Compared to most forums, the amount of flaming that goes on here is actually pretty tame.

Regardless, can we all please move on now?

To be fair, I wasn't harshing on him because of his opinion, I was on him because he was declaring that the video was late. His opinion is totally his to declare, and I'm not disputing that, and, indeed, even agreed with him on a point.

I never approach LRR with rabid fanboyism in regards to quality. The crew is, after all, composed entirely of my friends, and they've come to expect that I'm a jerk about, well, everything. Also, as Graham stated, they appreciate feedback, to work on better themselves and the quality of videos and humour that they deliver to you.

Nobody is perfect, and stating "I didn't really like this one because..." is more faithful to what the crew wants, than just blind adoration.

I apologize if you took me as rude earlier, Zack, but the update schedule has been brought up numerous times, and it's a tired horse to ride into town.

Edit: I agree with Matt. Let's all talk about how dreamy he looks in an orange jumpsuit.

I don't have access to any at the moment... Is it the source of his powers or something?

Thanks, Allen! & Matt!

So... real ninjas don't need orange jumpsuits OR the hand jive to do their work.

Thank you, Zack. I appreciate your input. I'm not being fececious.
Please give further input on other, future videos that I hope you continue watching.

So. Now. What did people think of this video, as opposed to other people's opinions of it?

Horray for Naruto (FAIL) bashing, I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Also, I think I'll have to go into hiding.....well hiding from my current state of hiding to avoid Bill...

It was pretty good, I loved the Naruto bit, I think it was funnier for me because I haven't really watched much of this show, but I've seen enough to get the reference/joke. I thought it was kind of strange when the guy was explaining to Bill about how there's too many Ninjas, and that they are used for businesses to eliminate the competition; that Bill looked like he was really confused or he was about to fall asleep.

Lol feces.

Graham, I was wondering, idly, and I can't think of where to ask this(cause I'm too lazy to send a PM and I already wanted to mock your spelling, like a dick), but you remember the old Sims thing you did for Bill's house? Do you still HAVE the write up you did over that?
I have the vague feeling I've asked you this before, so feel free to backhand me.

And I'm not being facetious, either, with my apology from earlier.

That's the point, if you aren't expecting a ninja to be in a bright orange jumpsuit then you won't think he's a ninja  you'll just think he's a flaming moron...which is a correct assessment in the case of Naruto.

I'm just glad to see Jer and Bill in a video again.

And I thought Bill's writing was excellent. I hope we get a full discussion of the process of writing and the influences upon it in the next podcast.

Graham wrote:So. Now. What did people think of this video, as opposed to other people's opinions of it?

One of my problems is that I find it very difficult to voice anything negative about videos because on the whole I enjoy LRR's output so much that the good aspects far outweigh the bad. This isn't blind fanboyism because I do see things that could be changed or improved, but it often feels like I'm being a jerk when giving even constructive criticism. Especially when it pertains to someone's acting skills.

That said, I'm attempting to make more useful comments along with the usual praise.

This video:
I knew this video would be about ninjas just because of the legends that have been passed down through the ages ever since Bill's disappearance some time ago. The first second of music confirmed it.

The dialogue was quick & funny right up until the flashback. The lengthy explanation about ninjas & the corporate climate was useful & important, but could have been made funnier with the inclusion of some quick cuts to examples or illustrations of what he was explaining since the rest of the video is fast paced.

Some nice green screen work, especially with the camera rotating around the Paul ninjas surrounding Bill at the 3:03 mark. The choreography was a bit wooden on Bill's part during the fight scene & the dialogue between him & "Naruto" sounds like it was recorded in a small room.

My favourite joke was the "may have embellished a bit" part. Jer pulling the sword out of the drawer was good too but I would have suggested going back for a gun after Bill's warning & then ending the vid.
