Sorry Evil Jim, were you saying something? I wasn't really paying attention. Hm....

There is only so much room in front of the screen.

Ah yes; my point was that over Matt's shoulder you could see the plant Paul was standing by, I just though it was odd that they decided not to put him in shot as that bit of the shot wouldn't have been in green screen. However, it is possibly LRR has gone crazy and instead of using props such as tables and plants, everything is green screened.

Well we know from the preview pic on the blog (The main LRR blog, that is) that at the very least the table and seats are real, but those are the only things anyone physically interacts with (With the exception of the iPhone(s) of course)

The background IS real. Morgan is not. Morgan was played by Graham in a mo-cap suit, and was animated over later. His voice was provided by Bill.

So, I liked it, sorta kinda. Matt and Momo's acting was just over the top enough to amuse, and Paul's frustration was well played. The ending was pretty obvious from the beginning, but what can you do?

So, kudos for the video.

Note: a future LRR video must contain Emergency Jazz.

Dito. Also, the frequency of "really good videos" seems to be dropping still since I first noticed it.
Maybe it's only the natural development of my perception of LRR videos, but I think I shouldn't care much, because, either way, somebody else is going to come along sometime and be a fresh breeze over all the other staleness and blow away the competition in making sketch comedy videos like you, dear people whom I like, once did.

Excellent video, lads.

Great to see Morgan back in the saddle. Do I detect a hint of Mr. Reynholm from The IT Crowd in his performance? Yes, yes I do.

The relative predictability of the past season's videos has been somewhat distressing. Bill's video was a welcome breath of fresh air in that regard - it had a spontaneity and quirkiness that matched that of the first seasons.

This video was cute, and had some very good moments, but as a whole it wasn't really surprising. It was topical, which is a bonus.

It was alright. I loved the bit at the end, though, with the Mario jump noise.

If that's really an iPhone app, I wants it.

I could potentially require an iPhone first, but I'll work that out once it gets on Verizon.

So, in short, never.

Topical? Did I miss something? Are you calling it topical just because of the iPhone inclusion, because that seems like a poor argument. I understand it did only just come out in Canada, but it already had it's biggest popularity when it was first released in the states and elsewhere.

Even discounting that, the iPhone itself isn't the topic of the video, it's just a handy prop. It could have been anything, a fancy new blender developed with secret government funding or who knows what.

The crew probably couldn't afford a Blendtec blender.

For those who have difficulty understanding meta-humour, I have helpfully translated the T-Shirt ad from the video into plain english. Read, and enjoy!

I'm not normally a nitpicker, and I'm not normally inclined to add to the jokes at Matt's expense, but at least down here in the US Army, the tie he's wearing is for women.

Now I have to go watch the video again, since I spent the entire first viewing trying to decide if he and Morgan were supposed to be in uniform, and then trying to discern whether he was wearing the female necktab, and then laughing because he was. I suppose there was something else to look at, and perhaps a plot, but I was distracted.

the tie I'm wearing is just a standard black nectie, essentially identical to the one morgan's wearing, so how do you figure it's a women's tie? I'm pretty sure you never get a good look at me from the front to see it in the video, so it could maybe lead to confusion, but it's just a regular old black necktie.

I don't actually recall ties being part of men's military uniforms.

I think he has a point.

Except that they're both wearing them, and more importantly:
At what point was it stated that this was the US military?

Technically, I don't believe anyone was in proper uniform.

When watching LRR, it's important to keep your mind on significant details, like whether the faux-military uniforms are accurate.
