Was that Matt in the t-shirt ad? Or did you clone him?

You guys are getting better and better at that green screening.

The video was pretty good, not extremely funny but it was chuckle worthy and good for a smile. I think for the explosion was a bit to quick into the white-fade though. Also you could see the glare of the green screen on the iPhone (not really a problem I just like pointing it out).

Overall it was quite Hi-larious

Has LRR gone all George Lucas no long shots on location, shooting everything on green screen? Seems since you figured out how do it well you have been doing it a lot.

All right, wake-up surprise!

An entertaining ad for the iPhone, tho' it took me until its mention in the video before I realized what it was they were talking about.

It was easy to tell there was a lot of green screening in this video. I appreciate its advantages over very specific or elaborate setpieces when necessary but in my old-fashionedness I still prefer real sets. And yes, I do see the need for it in this video. I like how the emergency countdown was visible in every single shot.

Of course, with the countdown it's pretty obvious how the video is going to end, but the fun was all in getting there.

The term "emergency light jazz" made me crack up. As well as "Hi-larious!"

Good acting all around for the vid, tho' the shirt ad had a couple awkward pauses. But then, they usually seem to be pretty spontaneous.

Also...

"NTSC"-framerate

Postby Casandro » 28 Jul 2008, 10:42

Am I a geek for noticing that it was shot at an "NTSC" framerate because the 1/100 second digits oszillate between different digits every second?

Paul's little squeel of panic when he looks at the screen in the beginning made me lose it entirely. Lots of little ridiculous moments in this video, and very well acted. Not enough manic Paul-itude, but it's a difficult balance to strike.

Also, the resemblance between Matt and Tim is uncanny. I suggest you stick Matt and Tim into a video where Matt is visited by his future self.

By the by, did Private Curtis make it out alive? And what's the framed thing behind Morgan? It has military medals around it, but it also has photos, the middle one looks like some random general plucked off google or something and the one next to it to the right looks like Bill.

~Alja~

Addendum: There's a shelf behind Morgan with a goofy toy dog of some sort on the right, what looks like The Holy Grail from Indiana Jones in the middle, and some silvery thing that looks like a transformer on the left.

The phone is worth trying to sell to people. It's pretty much one of the coolest pieces of technology I've ever owned. it's not perfect, but it comes pretty damned close.
