On that topic, I have a friend whose name is pronounced "Jo-el." I have no idea how her name is supposed to be spelled.(haven't seen it written yet.)

Joelle? I had a friend in college with that name, and that's how she spelled it.

One of the reasons no actual WoW players were involved in the making of this video is that it was filmed after the release and we were all playing at the time.

3 days is quite doable, especially if she bought an account and used the refer a friend to make another account, when those 2 account level together they gain XP 3x faster, including on quests. Dual boxing is a pretty big thing these days. Adam and I did mage/boomkin and I got there with about 4 days played, I spent a bunch of time dicking around leveling mining/skinning.

For those that haven't played/gave up early on, this game isn't for everyone, and as stated in the video the game doesn't really start until max level.

Four days of playtime, or four actual days total, Ben? Hardcore, either way.

Though 96 hours of playtime spread over a month isn't such a big deal.

it was like 4 days played spread over like a month or almost a month and a half, Tim.

There isn't a LRR guild, but we are all in the same guild on Dark Iron.

Yea, my example was more to state that even casually it can be done quickly. We were fitting in play time around our work/girl friend time, as well as Adam's raiding times. We also didn't plan anything out, just kinda went to whichever zone we felt like. Spent a bunch of time ganking/being ganked in STV. Leveling on a PvE server could go much more quickly.

I'm pretty sure the top time 1-70 pre 3.0 (XP from required 60-70 reduced by 1/3) was around 2 days played. That person was dragged through instances repeatedly though.

Right, 1d 2h. I was thinking it was faster than 2d, searched quickly but I couldn't find the actual time. So 1-80 is doable in about 3d played now maybe a little less if you had multiple people doing rotations. Though they though I heard they hotfixed the way that the first 80 got there.

After watching this again, I really have to say...

Kathleen, you've developed some really awesome acting chops! You have great expression even when you were pretending to just sleep.

I bet that level up sound effect was recorded from a freshly made human killing a Young Wolf in Northshire Abbey. Judging from the weapon and what sounded like a spell, it was probably a priest or a paladin.
