heh, the original line is:

Edit: Lyrics:

you've watched us on the net for the last week (or Two?)
sat in your chair intent at logging on to view.
This went so well it stopped us doing what we do.

Oh-a oh

we ran a fund-raiser for a kids charity.
broadcast over machine by much technology,
but all of us were on death's doorstep by day three.

Oh-a oh

It's for the children

Oh-a oh

see twilight a-gain!

desert bus killed the internet star.
desert bus killed the internet star.

Donations kept us from our art.

Oh-a-a-a oh

And now we meet in an abandoned office room.
This week's video post has met it's crertain doom.
But now it's over and our work we can resume.

Oh-a oh

We have a plush duck!

Oh-a oh

we're tired as [swear].

desert bus killed the internet star.
desert bus killed the internet star.
In my house and in my car, I steer things left, I've bussed to far
Oh-a-aho oh,
Oh-a-aho oh

[bridge]

desert bus killed the internet star.
desert bus killed the internet star.

We played some songs on this guitar, have you seen what our donations are!?
bus cam failed and broke your heart, put blame on the VCR...

You are an internet star.
You are an internet star.
desert bus killed the internet star.
desert bus killed the internet star.
desert bus killed the internet star.
desert bus killed the internet star.

desert bus killed the internet star. (You are a internet star.)

very very well done.... for people who do not want anything to do with desert bus after you guys pulled it off well..... heck, i would have never guessed that it wass all thought up, shot, and put on the internet in less than a day.... almost seems like you guys rehersed all the actions and words for days.

good job guys..... also looks like you got HUGE publicity on your site now. This is probably one of the few cases where within 12 hours there are over 7 pages of forum posts on this thread.

most other video threads i've seen get maybe a page or three most after 12 hours

Paul, you are forbidden from ever shaving again. I keep getting creeped out by the lack of beard, because Paul looks like some of my dad's old co-workers, now.

Amazing video. If that was the last video LRR ever made, I would be happy.

I'm happier that it's not, but if LRR ever makes a final video, it should be done just like that.
Deemed too hazardous for human contact.

The <swear> is a VTR?

Edit: Just wikipedia'd it. Video Tape Recorder.
<swear> you Maaaaaaaaaattttt!
*shakes fist*

Post-edit P.S. You know, I think I like this <swear> thing. I might keep doing it way past the point where it's funny. Of course, I try not to swear as is, but... whatever.

DOUBLE EDIT!!!!!!:
I think the fact that the original line was 'VTR' not 'VCR' makes me love this version even more...

Good God, I just realized that I've been watching these videos for a year now.

I feel inexplicably (internet) old.

My favourite song as a parody in my favourite internet show, LRR.

EPIC.

And "put the blame on the VCR" - even more epic.
I started lolling when Graham appeared with the glasses and stopped when the song ended.

This video really is a great one and a wonderful "summary" of Desert Bus.

THANK YOU!!!

I absolutely love the second clip, the one with Kathleen dancing. It's absolutely adorable. Kathleen's the best. <3

OK, after having listened to the original on youtube, I have to say I like this version much better. Why have I never heard this song before? (I am dumb, that's why!)

Empire Records, is that a band, or a record company?

This has got to be my favourite line in the video.

It's a movie, and again, I might have to hunt you down and force you to watch it at gunpoint, if you don't go do it on your own.

I love the irony whenever I hear the original song on the radio (which is far too often for my liking).

I started laughing hysterically when Rosco P. Jangles IV showed up wearing the same glasses as everyone, which was followed by "we're tired as swear" just made my day. LRR is made of win.

I had no part in this video whatsoever, beyond a couple of brief montage appearances. I do not know how they managed to shoot it all in one take, but I presume many of you have hit upon it, because it makes sense to me.
