It IS Physics.

My only issue with the video was the lighting was a bit dark.
It was really too big:

I give you this instead

I wouldn't qualify this video as an actual use of parabolas... if that's what you're saying.

Some very clever stuff in this one. Effects are simple enough (visually at least), but are definitely unexpected and effective. Isn't it funny how humour is amplified by charts? Hang on, let me go graph this out.

Ah, physics...it's been so long...

Wait, if withdrawing time has fatal results, what would depositing time do? Revert or slow aging? :?

Also, this may strange, but does Alex look a little different, or is it just the lack of hat?
I tend to be overly apologetic. Sorry about that.

Phail. That is a parabola, or at least a reasonable approximation of one, although I suppose you'd really expect a natural correlation like that to be exponential rather than quadratic.

Anyway, the real mistake here is that E=Mc^2 is not Relativity.

Yes and no.

E=mc^2 is a consequence of Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity

Fourier transforming a cat this is not.

Well, yes. It can be similar without covering the same ground. And not everything in xkcd is serious. Have you seen this one? http://www.xkcd.com/231/

True, but that doesn't make "You know General Relativity, right? E=mc^2," any less wrong.

That said, it's not supposed to make sense, so it doesn't really matter.

Make sure Jer is around for the podcast this week. I really want to hear about the development and writing of this.

Whether I laugh at them or not, I usually find LRR videos entertaining. While this one made me smile a few times, it left me pretty cold for the majority of it. Whilst the overlays and editing were well done, I didn't find it funny. As with the recent WoW video, it needed to be more visually exciting for me.

Having said that, I'm pretty much on my own here as everyone else enjoyed it, and considering you put this together in your Christmas week, its still pretty impressive.

Actually, that's probably a computer virus, and you should get it checked out.

(some Trojans will mess with your clock settings because having things out of sync can produce holes in network security and make it easier to get other stuff onto your computer.)

Great video, guys. I absolutely loved it. We (my friends and I) use general accepted properties to explain anything.

This entire video reminds me of one exchange from a Whitest Kids U Know skit:

"How'd you get a gallon of PCP?"
"Science."
"Ah."

Check out Ask an Alex Live to see more of him bearded then. It has been quite fascinating to watch it grow over the last 12 weeks from just light scruff to one of the few remaining sources of facial hair on LRR.
