That was intentional, actually. It's just Jer.
All your technician are belong to Jer?
You guys should spread out the technician more often... for great justice.

Re: Time is Money
That's the second worst parabola I've ever seen. The worst was a straight line, but that's a different story. This parabola was not only asympotal to a line parallel to the directrix, but it also fell to a lower height after the peak! What's going on there?
Plus, I don't see why potential energy would increase with velocity. Potential energy is inversely related to kinetic energy in most circumstances (maybe all, it's 4am so I'm not sure).
The idea also fails to take note of the relation space ∝ 1/time. Since 1/t is getting exponentially larger, so is the distance the light travels. Thus the whole finite speed of light thing.
And of course the special/general relativity mix-up, but that's been mentioned before.
This wasn't even over-thinking, it just occurred to me while watching. But then, I am obsessively nerdy.
Other than those little flaws, it was a good video and I enjoyed it. Another great LRR vid.

Re: Time is Money
One should not think about the physics that appears in humor too much.
In general potential energy is dependent on position not on velocity.

We are all made of star dust. However we are also made of nuclear waste.
Remember to think before you post.

Ah, but phinking about physics is always phun regardless of the situation.
I was trying to suggest the energy to increase velocity would indicate a decrease in another form of energy. An increase in both velocity and potential energy doesn't happen very often.
Communication is not my forté.
