This video was written because Kathleen and Alex were in town and wanted to write something for them both to be in. Over dinner Kathleen suddenly said: "Mercenaries!" and the rest came naturally.

Brilliant, I'm not sure but I think Graham's accent comes from the 'Vocational Guidance Councellor' sketch in Monty Python, you know, the one with the lion tamer. Sounds a lot like it in parts.

I was almost expecting a metal gear referance... and if there is one I'm not seeing it.

Still, fun as always.

Would have been fun (I'm not saying that Raymond didn't do a good job, becouse he did do a good job) if the guy who got overthrown had been Paul Kennedy to referance the James Masterson School for Dictatorial Improvement. But maybe Jer don't have enough beard to replay that role atm.

Anyway this works as well

Actually it's a cross between the Python "Marriage Counselor" sketch (which I believe is actually Michael Palin as the same 'Arthur Pewty' character in both sketches) and Maurice Moss from The IT Crowd.

Worst place in the world to visit and I've been to Slough, but I went to the European Disneyland on a school trip so I don't know how US and Euro compare. It was so boring that I spent all my time playing video games in the arcade. I think I spent £30 in there.

Fuel-air explosive? That's what I got from it.

As to the video. More great work as usual. Kathleen's accent almost cracked with the "Oh... We totally can!" line. I thought it made things funnier though.
It's just weird to see Alex without goggles on but it was superb acting and slide-racking and hammer-cocking.

Also, 'Formerly Kane, Crowthorn & Postlethwaite: Mercenary Solutions and Decoupage.' Firstly, how do you say that last name, secondly, is there a joke there? It seems like a good place for one.

Anyhow, Off to watch the new Unskippable. Huzzah!

I actually like how Graham used ALL the cuts where I'm cocking the pistol - it makes it more like one of those retarded action movies. At some point I want to feature a merc who keeps racking the pump on his shotgun for emphasis, only to realize later that he's ejected all his ammo in the process..

that's wat I meant.
you also put the hammer down once and later it was up again. meaning you fired the gun whithout knowing

Postle: sounds like apostle with out the a
thwaite: there are two ways, dont' pronounce the 'th' and it is just 'wait'
or you could add the 'th' sound to the begining of waite.

I'd say it with the 'th' but there are some here in England who wouldn't say it/

I liked the cut from Kathleen holding up Alex (really well done, by the way) to the shot of him back in his previous position. It had a sort of "whoduhwha?" suddenness, like Graham's romp through space-time at the end of "Time is Money".

I don't know if that was the cause for any maniacal cackling in the editing chambers or not, but I liked it a lot on the second viewing.

My only problem is I don't see the LRR logo. I can hear it, but it seems to have been replaced with a still image of camouflage patterns.

Also the ad seems to take up about a third of the total runtime. Not really a fault with the awesome video, just a note.

And I think around the time Alex says "Try a smaller firm", there's a red light of somesort behind him shining briefly on the back of his head. Camera flash?

Harvey Postlethwaite: Formula One engineer, died of a heart attack (might explain the "former"

Man that accent was all over the place. It sounded like Murray from Flight of the Conchords in places.
