Buttstallation

Huh?
It's Just that every other post happens to say that the video reminds them of Monty Python. The redundancy begins to wear for me (mainly because I feel the need to read all or most of the posts before posting just in case I happen to stumble upon a redundancy myself). Also I am around enough nerds (myself included) that Monty Python in general has become as a reservoir of seething, bubbling, battery acid with a slow drip to my eye every time somebody quotes the same line for the umpteenth time.

That's going to be some serious marks off on the test, Tally. The "Internet Reading" portion accounts for 40% of the grade.
Damn. Can the other 60% be based on stuff like "Toast Appreciation" and "Reporting While Walking?" Cuz I suck at teh maths.
Re: Buttstallation
That was a good vid. I laughed

Re: Buttstallation
This is so close to be being a Monty Python sketch. If Paul had been played by John Cleese, and had been more angry, I would've thought "holy shit, Monty Python is back"

Re: Buttstallation
I really liked this one. At the start, I was saying "eh, it's really silly, but that's fine". Then, when you brokle the fourth wall, I expected the remainder of the vid to be about you trying to make a better sketch. Which is reasonable, because you guys love the meta. And then Tally happened... and then you came back at the end...
It was great.
It was great.

Re: Buttstallation
In the spirit of sharing (and since Paul refuted it in the LRRcast) this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5i6BHBuqxE
is specifically the Mr. Show sketch I was thinking of where they clearly break and go into another sketch. ...but that's not the one I was thinking of when I watched the video. This one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcQq-uLPvTk
has tonal similarities to the Philosophy part, and it just gets silly at the end.
But yeah, like I said before, awesome video. Loved it lots.

A very silly vid. And sillyness is always appreciated. Very few people can successfully hit the balance between reactions of laughter and of "What the hell is this" But the balance was just right. Kudos.

Re: Buttstallation
Brilliant, guys.
And now, to all the philosophers: If I can perceive it, it exists. It does not matter whether my perceptions are flawed or not, if I can perceive and/or interact with it, then it exists in some form, whether within my mind or outside my mind. For I know that I think, and that thoughts exist as thoughts, and if I can perceive something, then either it exists as would be conventionally considered to exist, or it is concretely defined in thoughts, and exists as thoughts.
So congratulations, you now know with confidence that I exist, either as an actual entity elsewhere (whether that entity is unique or human is another matter entirely), or as this little voice in your head that just brought to mind some wisdom. Whee. More definitively, the words of this post exist, as words will always be just language.

The amount of times that this comic has been posted in relation to Monty Python-centered conversations is making the comic itself predictable, which defeats the entire purpose of the comic to promote surreal, unpredictable humor.

I will admit that because of this video, I became very self-aware when I started philosophizing about whether or not there can be such a thing as cynical idealism.

Re: Buttstallation
Haha... Good video as usual.
And Nevrmore, you see, it is all a plot. The goal is to make the comic so wildly predicted that every time you go onto that topic, you think it is coming. You just assume it will be there. Then, everyone all at once will stop. Stop completely. You will not expect this at all. It is so unpredictable!
However, now that I told you that, you will expect it. So it will now be expected for them to eventually stop. So we will instead continue and you will not predict that.
However, now that I told you that, you will expect it to continue. So it will now be expected too...
*Goes on until the end of infinity*

So yeah I have this book that I won from a drawing at the university library. It's called "Philosophy Goes to the Movies". If you want it, I can send it to you guys and maybe, JUST MAYBE, philosophy will make sense.

Re: Buttstallation
Could there be a lower resolution version of the video available via a Flash player? It sucks when I have to wait a tenth of the video to load so I can watch it in one go. (You could host it on Youtube, and include links to loadingreadyrim.com for the "High Quality" version.)

Re: Buttstallation
Economic Stimulus and Stand Up Guy were recently uploaded to the youTube channel so it's fair to assume that it'll be there in a little while.

I'm sorry, but I have the same problem with the youtube version. (The video really is saturating my pipe (872 kb/s) and there's nothing else doing shit.)

"I M" is located one keypress to the right of "U N".
Interesting that I've never seen that typo before, tbh.
Carrying it farther, it might be something like this:

Woot! It has my name in it!
