Re: Killer Instinct
I read it, especially the second time, as it just suddenly occurring to her that she should tell her husband that somebody is trying to kill him. It could have being something else, like forgetting about her kids in the car, but it didn't feel like that to me.

Re: Killer Instinct
Is adorable the right word to use to describe Graham's character here? Cause he was adorable.
Something subtle about this that worked, not "Homagahd that was hilarious!" funny, but definitely funny.

Re: Killer Instinct
Brilliant sirs (and madam)! The whole notion of a wife coming in to find a murderer who had just murdered her husband, and then having a civil conversation about it...not something I've seen done before.
Wonderful video, made me laugh quite a bit.

On Tally's exit: I just saw it as "oh right, I'm in a house that's not mine with a dead guy I don't know... I probably shouldn't be"

I agree with Master Gunner's interpretation, although Mad Madam Mimm's works as well.

I thought that was fantastic. Got a few good chuckles out of me when I watched it ^-^

Re: Killer Instinct
Very very enjoyable. I would agree with an earlier comment that it seems like a Crime and Punishment 2 but hell, I loved Crime and Punishment and this is no different. In my mind I'd like to believe that the guy in that house killed his own wife hence there being a dead woman upstairs, this makes Graham's character an accidental Vigilante. Kinda like how bat man would've started if his parents weren't dead and he just got laid off a job... then he killed someone who killed his parents by accident... I think I'm pushing this metaphore...

Re: Killer Instinct
My only critique is that the dead body looks more like it has blood poured on it. If you stabbed him in the back multiple times, wouldn't the shirt be cut and gashed in multiple places?
That may be the only actual continuity error that can be pointed out. Though reason for it and it may be fixable.

Re: Killer Instinct

Re: Killer Instinct
The knife didn't look long enough, and even then, the shirt would have been damaged.
Re: Killer Instinct
I'd intended that she's basically remembering "Oh yeah, I'm in the wrong house, and he probably dashed away so quickly because he's going to murder my husband. I ought to do something about that."
Re: Killer Instinct
Also: While I see the connection you're all making, the "Crime and Punishment 2" interpretation doesn't work, because while our characters in this video were blase about it, murder in this "universe" is still illegal, which in C&P is not the case.
It feels spiritually similar though, I agree.

Re: Killer Instinct
Graham, did you intentionally have a slight British accent when you said 'I did a bit, yes', or was it just an accident? either way the delivery of that line was pretty much perfect. Great video all round guys.
Also, i like how both Graham and James were trying desperately to keep a straight face my the end of the ad.

Did you name the dude 'bill' because its a fairly common name or was there some deeper 'Kill Bill' joke in here?
Re: Killer Instinct
Hm. It occurs to me that this could probably work really well as a radio play. You'd lose out on Graham's fantastic facial expressions, but I think it would be an interesting way to do it.

Great video, I don't think you really need to challenge continuity with three minute sketch comedy.

While Graham has experimented with all number of creative spellings for Tally's last name, this one is correct. Granted, it does bear a certain resemblance to a German salutation from the early 20th century, and does indeed stem from Tally's German heritage, but I'd consider it rather poor form to draw such connections in polite company.

Re: Killer Instinct
I remember making a post about that once, asking if it was Heilke or Heikle. The latter seems right, somehow, and that's how it was on the Wiki until I un-screwed it.
I have a friend from college who's last name was Baldassarri. Everyone misspelled it because they didn't think it could actually be spelled "bald ass."
