Re: Killer Instinct
Something about this feels Pythonesque. I mean that as a compliment.
I loved the "a bit" thing. Made me laugh harder than anything.

Another good one, nice work.
The blood on the knife looked kinda sticky and sweet, jelly?
Also, I was almost expecting Tally to hit on the killer, now that she thought she was single and all.

Re: Killer Instinct
I was unhappy at first when I saw that it was on youtube, but the video quality was superb! Is it just me or has youtube HD upped their HD-ness?
Quite nice with the dry humor in the video. "A bit" was a good line as others have said. I'll probably go and watch it again. The video quality was so amazing.

Is it safe?
Re: Killer Instinct
YouTube has seriously improved their video quality over the last several months. Expect to see it used more.

I am not angry at you.
Re: Killer Instinct
As Blip.tv seems to hate me lately, I wouldn't mind more YouTube.
And I'm going to throw in a guess of corn syrup and red food coloring for the blood.

Re: Killer Instinct
Yeah, I find watching YouTube videos greatly superior to doing it with Blip.tv. Taking video quality out of the equation, I often find that the Blip.tv seeking has weird interface glitches where I can't click on what I want to, and especially when the videos get longer I've seen it get really choppy and/or crash my browser a few times. Also, YouTube lets me seek to parts near the end of a video without having to wait for the whole thing to buffer...
Probably because of...
"Did you dress her up like this?"
"NO!" "No!" "No!" "No!" "Yes." "Yeah, yeah." "A bit."

Re: Killer Instinct
Great job Paul on the dead body, as always. Blood looked really good in this one too. Very funny, although I was slightly surprised that you didn't have Tally's character flirting with the killer a bit, as that seemed the logical place to go for a few jokes (at least with my mind).
But yeah, I'm going to go with this taking place in the same universe as Crime and Punishment (after all, different clothes=different characters). Hilarious video with great acting all around regardless though. Its nice to see Tally in a leading role.

Re: Killer Instinct
Just because this video is making light of murder does not mean it is in the same universe as Crime and Punishment.

Re: Killer Instinct
It could be in the same universe, but I would not think they had planed it to be. Fantastic video, Classic LRR style and yes, a bit Pythonesque.
Re: Killer Instinct
I have to say this was an awesome video. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. This is going to go down as one of my favourite LRR videos. Good job guys.
Yeah I noticed the Python style comedy as well, that's what makes it even better.

Re: Killer Instinct
I wish I'd watched this when I was more awake. I was awoken by nuisance kookaburras, so I wasn't laughing anywhere near as much as I should have.
... there better be videos that use the new 3d feature.
I know I look like a complete dunce using cross-eyed mode, but it's so freakin awesome

I was trying to figure out what the crazy twist on this one was gonna be, but when I finally got to what it was, I laughed out loud. Really. Great job!
Also, I got a Crime and Punishment vibe from this one too.

Re: Killer Instinct
Not lol-provoking (although "I did, a bit." make me audibly chuckle) but definitely grinning throughout.
Thank you for the use of YouTube; I'd been having...mild annoyances with blip.tv (pause to buffer, then it'd unpause on its own, for example)

If we're going there, I think it would be funnier if Graham had started hitting on her... Talk about inappropriate timing.

Wait a minute, if he isn't my boss and he isn't your husband, then WHO'S FLYING THE PLANE?
Re: Killer Instinct
I'm beginning to wonder about Michelle and her not being able to tell her husband apart from a random dead guy. Does she live next door to her husband's twin brother? Does this happen often? Has her husband's twin brother ever used this to his advantage?

Well, to be fair, he is turned over.

Solid video this week. I also expected Graham to start hitting on her...

Re: Killer Instinct
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. So unbelievably awkward, and yet, so well done. I too lol'd at "a bit."
See, people keep saying this, and I don't see it. I'm also glad he didn't. After all, what made this sketch great is that it wasn't actually inappropriate. Like, it wasn't particularly violent (OK, a little violent, but not really) or lewd or inappropriate. Graham's character was just... perfect, perfectly awkward. "First time."
Well done, guys.

Re: Killer Instinct
I feel I should clarify that I absolutely think the video is better as is. What I was trying to say in my post was that, if someone was going to hit on someone, Graham hitting on Tally would be a lot funnier than Tally hitting on Graham. When I was watching the video that direction wasn't at all obvious, and I think it would have been difficult to work in and still have a quality ending.

Re: Killer Instinct
I think the video would be at least equally as good either way, arguable stronger as is, but that's where my brain just assumed it would go. But defying expectations is what LRR (and its influences, such as Monty Python) are all about.

Re: Killer Instinct
I still maintain that Michelle's exit at the end was not to report Ken to the police, because she was WAAAY to non-chalant about the dead body and the confession of her husband's impending murder. I feel like it is in the same realm of Crime and Punishment, maybe even proof of the common mentality of the majority in that universe.
