I think the accent was implemented well- if anything, the subtlety helped a bit because over the top fake British accents very rarely work out to any degree.

In any case, great video guys. Paul plays the crazy scientist guy amazingly as per usual and the ending was pretty hilarious.

Paul plus a lab coat always equals funny. No exceptions.

As far as the accent is concerned I actually didn't notice it until the first video-from-the-past. I thought that the Graham outside the TV was going to go "Wait, did I have a British accent before?", but then I noticed that he was talking with the accent as well. It was a bit weird. Great video though.

Yeah me too.

Also, I have a feeling like all of these incidents have something to do with rectal trauma.

Yep.

Do you think he could balance one on his head for 80 seconds?

He's balanced compressed air, a fan, and a hammer on his head, a lab coat should be easy.

Depends on how it folded. It could be quite an albatross. DO IT PAUL!

(Then find an albatross and balance that on your head too.)

I went back and watched the video again, just because people here are complaining about the accent. I thought it was pretty much consistently subtle across the board, it was just a little jarring to first notice it in the "me explaining to me" video. I can't speak for the authenticity of the accent or speech patterns, though, because I am neither from any part of England, nor am I currently studying linguistics.

It's a great video as a whole. I just wanted to say my bit in this debate about accents.

The Loading Ready Rumble was inspired by a suggestion from 2stepz, I believe. She suggested doing a Battle Royal spoof. I wasn't counting that, though. I suggested the crew do a video about the facebook fiasco, and lo and behold Terms of Friendship. I can't claim any credit for the video, though.

Thinking about it, Tim has won the lifetime LRRfan achievement award, having turned up during Desert Bus 1 as a fan and then worming his way into the LRR bosum, with writing, acting, shooting and editing credits. Well played.

This is true. My personal favorites are Bagel Time and the section of cHustle (3 or 4 I think) where he explains the usages of "Pwn".

Funny video! Good finish, impeccably funny as usual. But yeah I didnt really think about the accent until looking at this thread and now it does sound kinda wonky.

As an English person to me there are bits that sound pretty good but then you kind of drop it for some words. Its kind of weird.

Also the accent appears to be from Generic Southern English County but whatever.
Nothing to see here.

In golf, a birdie is one under par, an eagle is two under par, and an albatross is three under par.

See, I play golf, and I didn't even know that.

Mind you, I'm lucky if sextuple bogie describes who I played the whole, so knowing what three under par is called is pretty useless to me.

Not when on a par three you have to use a nine iron to tee off because otherwise you're going to overshoot the hole.

Also, mini golfing and putting are so different it hurts. I can sink a putt from maybe 10, 15 yards.

I can be inches from the hole in mini golf and still miss, I don't get it.

I'm the complete opposite. For some reason I can putt fairly well in mini-golf, but in real golf, I always take about four or five shots in the green.

I don't really have any golf-related insights to add, but I did think that seeing Lab Coat Paul as more of a technician than as a mad scientist worked pretty well in this instance. The transition from the moment at which Simon's memory is restored to just after it is taken away for the last time was very well done also.

Everything I would say has been said. Video was good, but if you're going to do an accent you can't drop it half the time, which you did seem to.

I don't want to sound rude, but if you haven't already, watch it again and see if you still think he's dropping the accent. Just make sure you keep in your head that he's using an accent. It sure helped me hear it more.
