Millions upon millions of Americans go every day without being shot. Some even make it through their entire lives without being shot! In all likelihood, you wouldn't be shot, kamirecca, but I would give you a hug.

I thought Canada joined up with the Antarticans, even if they are just penguins.

Well duh, somebody has to not be shot in order for everyone else to be shot.

Lies, lies, and more lies. Everyone knows that it is federal policy to give a gun to every baby, and make them engage in duels until they have been shot at least once.

Just stay away from the areas in red, they don't take kindly to foreigners...or even books for that matter.

arch4non, I lived in Chicago for a number of years, and I have family in Texas(Living in New York and having family in California are neglected), and my grandparents live in Florida during the winter.

All of the people _I_ know from these places are intelligent, cool headed people, and only most of them are actually Canadian.

So please, remember, only MOST of the red states (so against communism. Why are you red?) are assholes.

The red-state/blue-state colours evidently were only established in the 2000 election. Before then the media just used whatever colours they felt like to distinguish them.

Ah, that explains it, seeing as I only started caring on any level about elections in the year 2000, as before that I was 7 or younger.

Same here, I read that on TV-Tropes, otherwise I wouldn't know as most modern TV shows/movies seem to forget too.

Come to West Virginia, the only thing we get pissed about is hippies trying to shut down coal mines and lumber mills.

I agree with this (as I have been to Chicago many times and Texas a few), however, don't come to Oklahoma.

It's not like we don't want you here, but you don't want to be here.

Every time I've gone to Oklahoma, it was to visit my mother's parents. It's very hard to spend more than a day there.

Also to arch4non. That 9-12 video is total BS. Out of 75,000 people, of course you're going to find some nutters and some people who take things too far with their retarded world views.

I dunno Ares - everything I've seen since the weekend (which, I'll admit has been coming from 'liberal' news sources, but from a wide array of them ranging from CNN to independent bloggers, has suggested that there were FAR more than "a few nutters".
I've seen everything from groupd threatening a camera man because he wouldn't tell them his name (after they told him they wanted it so they could "find him" if they didn't like his story), to hundreds of racist, offensive, and tasteless posters, to a crowd surrounding and drowning out a reporter during a live segment on CNN by chanting, "GLENN BECK, GLENN BECK!"

Those 9-12 protests - the way they're being shown in the international media look like a total nut-job circus, and I feel embarrassed on america's behalf when I see them.

This.

Though it was entertaining and a bit cringe-worthy, it was too biased to be really relevant.

Well, were you going to metropolitan areas or rural areas? If you're talking rural, I know exactly what you mean. If not, I dunno because I live in the city.
