Did the manager put your name on the Wall of Shame or something?

RECON PLAN;

1) Figure out her shift (I'm sure you've already done this)
2) Arrive just as it ends for your coffee
3) See if anyone picks her up

Unfortunately there's no negative control, so you'll only know if she does have one, but it's a start!

Alternative; facebook stalk.

You make a very effective stalker.

I understand your dilemma. In my case, worse case scenario it's just going to be awkward till next June when we graduate.

I assume that even if you are successful in getting some hot coffee (as I now demand everyone refer to it as) that you'll probably dump or be dumped by her. At some point getting coffee will be awkward, it's almost unavoidable.

BTW I'm really sorry for my attitude before. I've really got some good advice and/or encouragement. I still want to talk with my friends but the one I really want to ask for advice is busy this weekend so I feel kind of lonely right now.

Oh and Matt. You've mentioned you think she has a boyfriend. Is there any reason for you to think she have one or is it just a gut feeling?

Because trying is the first step towards failure.

Or you could just get used to the idea of awkward coffee.

Or maybe it wouldn't be awkward. I don't know, if the 1st barrista is already taken and the second one doesn't like you it might not be awkward.

Also, you can't fight city hall, aka Block-o-Land!

No, the lesson here is "never stop trying".

Seriously, no matter how hard anyone tries we'll all still make mistakes, so why worry? It only adds emotional stress.

I'm not saying I'm a master of not worrying, but hey, I'm trying. And it's working.

Look, it could be awkward. You could end up feeling a bit of shame if she says "No."

But come on, we're (mostly) all adults here. I'm sure that even if there is some awkwardness, it won't last too long because this isn't high school anymore. Hell, you're a funny guy. Just use some of your sarcastic wit to dispel any awkwardness that might ensue.

I think I saw her downtown one day, walking with a dude - and she toouched his arm in a way that suggested they were pretty close. I'm not certain it was her though.

Also she was on a break in the shop the other day making plans with someone on her cell phone - I didn't hear much of the conversation, and it's possible she was just talking with friends, but she pulled out a cute "hi!~" rather than the regular. Again, suggesting it was someone she was dating.
