Now he'll swing his arms from side to side in the afterlife. Let us all do the Mario in his memory.

In all seriousness, his death, along with Walter Cronkite's and Teddy Kennedy's were the only ones I really felt sad about this summer/early fall.
Also, is it just me, or have there been more high profile deaths this year, specifically this summer? Maybe it's the rise of twitter, which catapults "RIP Somebody" to the TT at least twice, or something, but I sure did notice it a lot this summer.

I'm going to be paying my respects by playing Do The Mario in the student union all day tomorrow and trying to encourage people to dance.

I (once again) blame the pop culture explosion of the last 50 years. We have proportionally more famous people. Now that a lot of them are getting old, more of them will die more often.

Is it bad that I've never heard of this guy before?
Still sucks that he died though, obviously.
