If you give me the French words i can put a sentence together and pronounce it properly in Quebec, or passably in France, but I lack the vocabulary to actually speak French. I am working on fixing that though, especially since I am the first gen to not speak fluent French (moving down through my dads side)Avistew wrote:KiteNeravar wrote:My mom understands a little Spanish, but almost no French. Ah, I thought you said it in French because the original story would have happened in French

No, that's fine. I had another psychologist notice it more recently, so yeah.

Re: The Big Relationship Thread
Ben a while since anything of note for this thread. But,
We hired a lot of new people at work. A lot of them my age. Most of them female. And very attractive. I dunno it seems like I'm more comfortable, or I've just stopped giving a shit. because I've been more comfortable talking to woman and just being myself. Which I think has been more apparent? Idk. Anyway. Me and my female coworkers have been a little flirtatious. And I've met up with a few High School friends, for chats and stuff. So overall no moves made but lots of opportunities.

Re: The Big Relationship Thread
Perhaps this is gloating, perhaps this is encouraging, but after 20 years and six serious relationships, I finally found someone to spend the rest of my life with and we're engaged!
He's a fellow geek, he's a fellow LRR fan (although he got very cranky when I would crank Desert Bus and he was trying to work), he's totally awesome, and he's pretty much the opposite of my first boyfriend from oh so long ago.
Which goes to show that one's taste in serious romantic partners has a way of changing over time, and you shouldn't sweat the small details.

I used to be more active in the forums, but then... relationship.
But I do comment on the videos at the Escapist and I was in DB chat under this handle as well.

Well I'm new, so I don't really know anyone. : )
And I don't read many comments on the Escapist, since I read, on average, around 5 comments down and I'm already wondering what the hell they're on about.
And I also hope they make your script, maybe the can do it as a wedding gift?

Well, as cool as that would be, I'm sure they have better things to do with their time. Now, if I had buckets of money, I'd hire them to do a special video for our reception, but our wedding budgets is limited, and we're looking to get married here in NYC, so we can't afford such extravagant things.

Well it turns out that, not only do I not notice hints, I don't notice opportunities I should take.
Re: The Big Relationship Thread
Don't worry, I make up for you by thinking I can see hints when there are none, and grabbing opportunities that should have remained ungrabbed.
