Equipment I'd totally want
As part 4 in my series of posts that add no meaningful content (DISCLAIMER: MAY/MAY NOT BE PART 4) I'm gonna ask which one piece of equipment would you want to have and be able to use?
For me:
The sonic screwdriver. Breaking and entering has never been so easy. Plus, with the ambiguity over it's true abilities who knows what it can do?

Battlefury, dodge bonus.
I'm still trying to figure out why someone didn't tell me how awesome Muse is.
Re: Equipment I'd totally want
Good answer, Gordon, but I'm going to have to go with super backpack/inventory from practically any game ever.
Grocery shopping has never been so easy, just drop it in the inventory and away we go.
Need to move? No problem! I keep everything in my inventory anyway.
Luggage too heavy? Not a problem when you can carry a virtually limitless number of items with no slowdown effect.
Not sure what the weather is going to be like? Why not bring your whole wardrobe and play it by ear?

I'd either want a holodeck or a replicator.
If I have a holodeck, I'd never leave.
If I had a replicator, I'd never want.

If I had a replicator, I'd never want.

Dude, go for the holodeck. You know why? Because every inanimate object in a holodeck is constructed from replicators in the first place.

...Except that they're not. Everything in a holodeck is made of "Photons and force fields". Despite what the first episode of TNG says.
Take any object out, and it goes away. Just watch any of the "Help, i'm trapped in the holodeck again" type episodes.

Most objects are like that, but some are replicated. I recall a couple instances of people getting wet in the holodeck, for example and their clothes stay wet when they leave. I'm guessing things that interact and change the nature of something not created by the holodeck get replicated.

Well, if they could replicate food and drink in my holodeck, I'd want that and never leave.

I cheated. That's still kinda neat, though. If I were into that sort of thing I'd totally want one. In the event that you need it, you sure as hell better have it.
Also: why not replicate a holodeck?
Re: Equipment I'd totally want
metcarfre, my guess is a gps type device. Except is has a send option. So it tells people where you are. And I know you like climbing. So, maybe it's for just in case you get lost?
Side note: Why would anyone want to leave a perfectly good ground?

It's a Mammut Pulse Barryvox avalanche beacon. I'm just getting into backcountry skiing and these things are pretty important. I've been renting up until now, but it's a pain in the ass. And the beacons are generally poor quality.
And how in the hell do you not already have an M-14? If I lived in the States, I'd have like twelve.

According to the Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual things are replicated. Also, the water point makes sense. Also, Crusher swallows gum in the first episode with Dick Tracey...and so on.

Yeah, holodeck. That was my first reaction before I even saw Arius's first response.

Okay, the Death Star is not equipment. You can't [EDIT]equip[/EDIT] yourself with the Death Star because it would crush you. Assuming it had no gravitational pull. With physics involved you would probably destroy any hemisphere of the Earth you were on.
Point being, things that have significant g's are not equipment. But if they were...
My ship can pull entire planets and travel through time.

I'm a bit more simple: A Really nice graphics tablet, a good lighting system for video and photo, and that $1600 LCD Keyboard at ThinkGeek.
