At this point I'm on the road back to asexualism by sheer virtue of there not being much of any traffic on Hetero Highway.

I'm genuinely interesting Lying, repeatedly you've made statements like this but I was wondering, do you still have a sex drive? I can't remember you stating one way or another on this (If you have, I've missed it - apologies) however I find this to be a pretty big indicator of if you're asexual(or becoming) or not.

I'm fairly familiar with the topic, so I'll fill in until Lying gets back. Asexualism, as with anything dealing with people, covers a wide range of ideas and behaviors. There are two "main" types of asexuality though (along with several related categories): asexual and aromantic. Someone who's aromantic may have a full sex drive, but they have no interest in romantic relationships (Think Barney from HIMYM, but generally more subdued, and more of a "don't care" than "utterly terrified by"). Asexual people on the other hand, would be more like how empath and his wife were for a long time (from the forum's point of view, anyways). A very strong romantic bond was there, but the desire for sex was minimal enough that they didn't do it for so long.

So Lying may or may not have a sex drive, or he may just have one that's low enough he doesn't care whether or not he has sex, but would vigorously engage in the activity if given the opportunity.

Of course, I've vastly oversimplified this, and its only from my understanding. So yeah, isn't human behaviour fun?

Asexualism for me is along the lines of both. Don't care about having sex and if given the opportunity would be >=90% likely not to take up the offer.

Would like to avoid that return trip really, especially after all the interesting (Albeit at times, confusing and aggrivating) events of attempting romance.

Lying, having not yet completed a relationship of that sort is no reason to think of yourself as anything less than normal.
