Repo in Chicago!
Repo in Chicago!
I apologize for coming back and immediately throwing a shameless plug here on the forums...but I think a few people here will be interested in this announcement.
As some of you probably know, I'm involved with a shadowcasting group here in Chicago that performs Repo! The Genetic Opera whenever our theater will allow us. We've just confirmed that the Grave Robber himself, Terrance Zdunich, will be making a guest appearance at our next show, January 23rd, at The Music Box Theatre.
There will be autograph signing/meet-and-greet before the show at 10:30pm US Central; Terrance will be selling and signing his new comic, The Molting, at the event. The show proper starts at 11:45pm.
Pre-sale tickets are available here for those who are interested. Location information can be found at The Music Box website.
Hopefully I'll see some LRRumites at the show--and please, feel free to talk it up!

What, the day that I started talking this up on the LRRums? Or the day you get to meet the GraveRobber?

I can probably go to this. If you have any promotional material you can get me I can try to spread it around my campus (IIT).

I'll probably be there too. I've been a douche to Dmitri about this whole thing and I want to make it up to him by supporting him. Who knows, I might even have some fun...

Aw, Vash, you haven't been a douche. Just a mite...overzealous at pointing out my obsession with the movie.
jtaylor, Fuzzyfreaker, I hope to see you guys there. Once my castmates have the flyers done, I'll post them here.

Unless you're willing to fly my butt all the way up there, I don't think I'll be able to make it. Break a leg, though!
I've been stabbed, shot at, impaled, been beheaded with a chainsaw, set on fire and had a parasite injected into me and I'M STILL NOT CRYING!

Think you might come out? Fair warning, I will be wearing an extremely shameless, embarrassing, and hi-LARIOUS costume for about...six or seven minutes of the show. I get to be an addict for "Zydrate Anatomy."

Re: Repo in Chicago!
My classes start on the 25th, so if I head back a bit early, I should be able to make it.
DAMN IT. Of course it's that first week of my return to Chicago. This makes things decidedly more complicated.

20 miles is no excuse. It's not like you're walking 20 miles you're just going to your nearest Metra station.

I was wondering when the only Repo avatar would get here.

Re: Repo in Chicago!
Sorry to bump, but I'm going under the knife Monday and won't likely be around much for a week or so after that. Just wanted to remind people of the show, announce officially that Terrance Zdunich (Graverobber) WILL be at our show from 10:30pm until after the show, chatting and signing autographs.
Also, anyone interested in attending can buy tickets here:

Wasn't Repo supposed to be awful? Or am I thinking of something else?

Re: Repo in Chicago!
I enjoyed it...the movie that is, though I would like to see it live some day.
To each is their own though, so I'm sure more than a few people have had a problem with it.

It's...unique, to say the least. Not going to lie, there are few people in the "Eh, it was okay" category. People either love it, or dislike it. But if you enjoy music, blood, and dark futures, you'll probably like Repo.
Also, Repo Men is ripping us off. Just saying.
