Open Web Awards: Voting Open! GO VOTE NOW!

Postby Keith K » 18 Nov 2009, 01:04

So I know everyone is tied up in Desert Bus, but LoadingReadyRun have made it to voting in the Open Web Awards, in the category of Funniest YouTube Channel.
[And The Secret of the Sauce is in the final five for YouTube video of the year! -G]
[How the shit did that happen!? I mean, kickass, but how!? -M]

I know a lot of you put in a lot of nominations, so go make them count!

Go vote!
IN BOTH CATEGORIES!

... I am sorry LRR but I believe this means that us at Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series (youtube channel: CardGamesFTW) now must declare war upon you and your kind and lay waste to your sorry little hole on the interwebs.

I take no joy in this... but it is something that must be done...

This is awesome, though I'm still not entirely sure how Secret of the Sauce made YouTube Video of the Year top 5. Okay, I am sure. Sieg Ryu is right. We're a mini-Colbert Nation. This certainly I imagine we can pull out a win for YouTube Video of the Year. It's going to be a tougher battle to ensure a LRR victory in the YouTube channel of the year.

Is there really any publicity that comes out of this, though? I'd never even heard of Mashable before Matt's original post. I suppose we can track Secret of the Sauce's Viewer Count to see what kind of bump it gets. 11,651 views as of 11/18 morning.

Once again, the logout page has permanently ballsed up, so I can't vote with both Facebook and Twitter. Still, I shall do the best I can. Long live LRR!

If you guys were half as consistent as LRR you might have a chance. As it is now: you do not. Make your time.

I think it's been demonstrated that you don't have to release a video every single week to be successful on the internet. It works for us, but that doesn't mean it's necessary for everyone.

I definitely won't resent Yu-Gi-Oh: Abridged if they win this. I hope we win, but I'm thrilled we got onto the ballot in the first place.

It was all a convoluted way for me to quote the All Your Base video. I love Yu-Gi-Oh: Abridged.

Actually, I am telling all of our users to vote up Secret of the Sauce as funniest youtube video... so even if YGO:TAS wins funniest youtube channel, LRR can still get a win as well.

Friends roll together yo!
