I want to avatar it but I'm getting a "file extension mismatch" message.

Is it possible to get a looping GIF of the stinger on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztE3eIdJLyE?
I'm not sure if I'd prefer with James or Jamesans.

Re: The GIFer Has Awakened...
Question for the GIF makers: What programs/online tools do you use to make your GIFs? I have GIMP 2.6 and would like to install GIMP's Animation Package, but for some reason I can't get to the FTP site where they have the program.
Alternately, is there a chance you could please animate and provide file-sized and avatar-sized GIFs for these three pictures? Something with a reasonable delay between frames and pauses a bit on the clear shot of my hands.

Re: The GIFer Has Awakened...
In the case of a video being the source for the gifs, I use a combination of Avisynth and VirtualDub to single out and crop the section to be giffed, export the frames as stills to a temporary folder, and then import them into Photoshop and gif away from there. Sometimes I take it into GIF Movie Gear for final cleanup or trimming afterwards if necessary.
Also:
How's that? Adjusting the delay's no problem if necessary.

For a set of images, put each image on a different layer in GIMP(Lowest layer = first frame, highest layer = last frame), and save it as a gif; the rest should be fairly self-explanatory.

That looks awesome. It looks good with James.
Is it possible to crop it into a square and have the maximum file size be 6KB as I want to use it as my Avatar?
Thank you very much.

That's awesome! I think the timing's fine because there were only 3 frames to work with. Can it be cropped to be avatar-sized? What would it look like if the frames with the blurred hands were a bit faster?

Do you need the GIMP Animation Package for that? Or is that something GIMP 2.6.x knows how to do?

The trick is to use an offsite-hosted image (with imgur or photobucket or what have you). The forums give you very little storage for hosting avatars.

Ah sorry, I misunderstood setting Avatars.
*Is it possible to crop the GIF into a square of at most 100 pixels by 100 pixels? If needs be, crop focus on the pencil sharpener. I mean:
I guess a 100pixle by 100 pixel gif of James' face would look creepy?

GYAH! I love this last one the best! Can you make it avatar-sized? Also, I probably should have cropped out the left side and the towel rack. Is it too late to do that?

e: it's obviously over 6kb so just use the imgur link instead of uploading the file itself as your avatar

Thank you.
I'll use the pencil sharpener. Because it might be really creepy and weird to use the James Face one because it looks like masterbation.
Many loves for making it possible.

Last time I checked, vanilla GIMP can indeed to that. All the animation package really adds is the ability to import video files as layers(Which is actually quite useful for GIF-making in some cases).

Re: The GIFer Has Awakened...
I would have liked to combine them or upload them at a higher resolution(Or both), but the Imgur maximum filesize is too low(Also, I can't remember if this meme continues in future FDs(I think it might do, but I can't remember which episodes if any), so if anyone can remember either episode names or the name of everyone in the episode, I can find it and make more).
Bonus:
(Sorry about the small resolution, I had to shrink it from 490x360 to 250x184 to get the ping-pong loop to work. Also, I apologise if anyone else has done this gif before; this thread has a lot of pages)
I apologise if this is the wrong thread to post all of these.
Funnily enough, I only planned on posting one gif(The Underpantaloons one), but then I saw Smeghead's post and I couldn't resist, although even then I only intended it to be two, but I had to split the FD one into three...

Re: The GIFer Has Awakened...
I've just published the first version of GifHelper, a program to help you grab the individual frames from a video. I plan on making a tutorial later, but for now I imagine some of you should be able to figure it out.
After that, you can use Gimp to "Open as Frames" the resulting images, and go to town.
Can't Wear Hats already made a gif of this shot, but I figured I could do it again with the original framerate:
