Why we love LRR

Postby octopimpostor » 30 Nov 2009, 11:58

I have noticed in my short few days here; how loyal the LRR fanbase is. Ive heard a lot of reasons as to why that is. Some people say its because of the Great community, some say because of the cast, while others say it is the videos. I was just wanting to know your reasons as to why Loadingreadyrun.com is so awesome. sorry if this has been posted before, but i was curious.

LRR is awesome just because it is... also I love the community, it feels like I actually know people, even if we've never met in real life

I love really the people who are in them, the LRR cast, unlike so many other things I may watch are genuine. Sure, there is acting involved but, they are people and they show it.

Also, they are comedy genuises =D

If escape doesn't work, try /quit

As for me, I've known about LRR since Canada Man, but didn't really start following it until Phailhaus came out. At that point my friends and I would randomly say "hey, I wonder if there's a new Phailhaus" and go to the LRR site, from time to time when we got together. It wasn't until DesertBus 2 that I really got into LRR. I really enjoyed the whole of Desert Bus, but what really got me was Tally and Jer's singing. I remember being really taken by how beautiful their voices were together. So even though I've come to love each of the crew for their quirks and various awesomeness, for me, it really started with Tally, and Jer.

Perfect example of why the crew is awesome. also the community because they actually interact with them in things other than "don't do that" and stuff. they are part of the community here too.

I talked about this very thing for three hours last night, otherwise I'd be more compelled to elaborate. For now, I'll concede to the shorter answer, given above:

I first came to Chicago on the trail of the killers of my father; and, for reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, I have remained, attached as liaison officer with the Canadian Consulate.

Wait; no, that was something else...

I haven't been on the forus for more than a week or so, but...
When I watched the videos, I loved LRR for being so nerdy, humorous, and relatable. They were regular guys doing what they love, and entertaining me in the process. They seemed like "my kinda people". During Desert Bus 3, I noticed something else; they are humble and kind, none of that "I'm famous on the internet, so I'm better than you", and they were amazingly responsive to the chatter in the, er, chat.

YEah i agree, that was amazing, they tried to talk to everyone and answer everyones question. That was what kept me watching. i felt part of it, instead of just a spectator.

I went with Cast and Videos. I'd say Community too, but I'm not exactly one that's been around forever here just yet. Desert Bus was fun though because over the course of the time, I got to know a lot of you better which was awesome <3

I genuinely believe that out of every comedy series I've seen on the intarwebz, LRR hits the top mark. They're all absolute comedic masterminds (Graham being the John Cleese, if you will?) and it just makes it all the more entertaining because it's actual wit and they're not trying to be funny, they just are.

On a side note.. Tim's a boss in the Runners now? Nice! Congrats, Tim, last time I saw your medals, it said Captain.. Or Lieutenant.

I like the fact that it's home-made videos, and they're very funny and high quality, and relate to gaming in many cases. With a side helping of Phail.

Also, I enjoy the catering.
