Re: The thread of win
My friend's Win, in coming up with a great costume, then convincing her friends to wear matching ones.
My win in being in the right spot at the right time, spotting two unrelated cos-players walking in opposite directions, and organising this photo of a meeting of Scientific Minds.

Playing the violin is always win for me.
Shame I have to go to extraordinary lengths to prove how viable it is as a ROCK instrument. I am too lazy. Even my friends are pessimistic.
I shall have to invite them round and OWN THEM.

People should not underestimate the rock potential of the violin. Much can be done with it.

It can produce a sound that can be of the Vocal Part, Bass part or general ambient harmoising. Sadly I try to do all 3 all at once.

Just make sure that when you play amazingly well, that is the goal, leave the cheesy theatrics at the door

Uhhh so much distortion, is that a bad pickup or did they want it to sound terribly grating?

...wait...
I thought that was the POINT of electronic cigarettes - no smoke involved?
(heck, I'd have much less issues with 'weed' if the primary administration method was ingestion. ;^) )
Oh, well - STILL a good thing!

So my friends Antony is the greatest human being I've ever met. Whenever he buys tickets for concerts he always gets two so he has someone to go with. He told me a few weeks back that if he didn't find anyone to sell the ticket to for a gig tomorrow then he'd just give me the ticket.
He didn't find anyone. I'm going to that gig tomorrow. That gig is Jack White. On Halloween. My friend is awesome

As a smoker, good for you. Though that seems a bit over board. Generally we don't mind not smoking in doorways provided there is somewhere else to do it.
Also, E-cigs as well? They produce next to no smoke, and what they do is so thin it's completely gone before even a smoke detector can pick it up.

Re: The thread of win
I understand that you have a right to smoke. If you want to, go ahead. But I hate having my lungs suffer, no matter where I go, because other people want to smoke. As it is, people aren't allowed to smoke around the dorm areas. The designated "smoking areas" are right outside the dining halls. It really, really sucks. And I hate it. So yay, less lung damage!

Apocalyptica I think they were called. Did it with cellos. Also my girlfriend links me videos of a guy who's damn good. Could never remember the names. Nightwish did something similar in a few songs.
And that's just me going to modern day music and avoiding going into great detail as to why they're wrong. They're only looking to make easy music and to be signed fast. Them and millions of others. They'll never stand out unless they have innovation.
As for my day, absolutely everything was perfect. Played Bioshock, did another area of my map in GW2, spoke to my girlfriend, met one of her friends, talked to one of my old friends well into the night and she got a kiss from a kitty! It was adorable!
Tomorrow? A house of complete darkness and silence. Might even put on Doom 3 with a headset and have some fun. Or the first FEAR games. And DEFINITELY turning my phone off. I don't want to be disturbed.

I totally get that it sucks as a non smoker, hell it was horrible when I quit smoking for a few months and people would always smoke right out side the doors of the youth center.
But I just find it stupid that the designated smoking area was outside the dining hall, and is now "Nowhere"
Why can't they do what fed square (Center of Melbourne) does, and make the smoking area off in a corner of it that nobody has to go near if they don't want to?

You do understand that particulate smoke is not the problem here? The nicotine tar is the problem. When we breath, we filter out small amounts of smoke particles quite easily, it's the residue from oxidised aerosol nicotine (commonly referred to as 'tar') that's doing the damage.
E-Cigarettes still produce nicotine tar. There is still an issue of second hand 'smoke'.
It's actually worse, because your "healthy" e-cigarette will also have small amounts of vaporised solder because the electrical connectors are produced so cheaply.
E-Cigarettes are still liable under almost all legal cigarette use bans for these reasons.
