Godspeed, Lone Bard!
MinniChi, thanks for your post on makeup. It actually changed my opinion on it as well, and it's nice to know that even though I don't wear it every day, it's really good for when I want to feel even better about myself and look absolutely spectacular (esp in a dress)!
I also did a massage on someone as a drop-in and it went fantastic! So yay! :D

I found a Goorin Brothers hat yesterday! A GOORIN BROS HAT. A high quality, 100% wool hat that someone threw away. That fits me. And I found it half an hour before it rained, too!

My greetings cards of a mountain are very popular. One other is stocked out.

Ordered two more set of cards, and ordered another set of a new design.

Real life sorry
I've had to approach shops and ask if they liked to stock my stuff. I selected the shops based on if they sold cards, welshness and as well as artness.

I have made nothing online. All I have gotten is positive feedback.
I am happy I make other people happy when they see their artwork. Just I would be able to make more people happier and for longer if I got money in addition to really nice remarks.

I might start selling through Etsy when I have a bulk of stock and worked out how to dispatch them safely, and off Job Seeker's Allowance.

A Gallery has requested 36 cards from me Sale or Return.

I wish I could sustain this joy for longer than a brief moment. I slip instantly into "deal with this" mode.

I'm an actual bachelor of science in civil engineering now. I spent six years getting there, and now I can send transcripts with the degree posted to my grad school and be fully admitted and not conditional pending graduation. It's almost like life is falling into place.
These are happy tears, dammit!

Woo, power's back after 50 hours without! And since I live in the middle of nowhere and have a well, that meant no running water, either. Super nice to have it back, but man, this screen seems so bright after days without it. Also the room's lights.

Three weeks ago I interviewed for a position in an university. Today I got the call offering me the job. For 8 months I get paid roughly 17$ a hour plus benefits to cook. And it's a day shift! I will actually get to see my kids with this job. I honestly can't wait. This is awesome.

This is made even better by the fact I currently have 15$ in the bank and have to pay rent. There won't be this kind of stress next month.

EDIT: Benefits in my industry (culinary, includes fast food) are extremely rare.

Today was my first day at my new job as a postdoctoral research assistant, my first 'real' job.

Now just to wait until the end of the month to get my first pay cheque.

I feel like I've been kinda absent recently, cause I'e been out most of the time being social and stuffs XD

So, I walk in and basically immediately Penny is like "The lease renews next month, so we have no problem with you being here. Did you wanna sign it for the next year?" I'm like "...Fuck yeah, I have a stable place to live for the first time in my life, right next to friends and places to work if I get healthy and sort my life out!

Like, that simple and easy, one month, set for the next year. My life, I goat there?

Rebuilding an old PC for my little sister to use for her GCSEs and my other sister and brother too.
CD drives wouldn't register OS CD. Had to go out and buy a 16GB USB stick because my 8GB couldn't be formatted to be used as a boot drive. Installed 8.1 last night.
Today, as I was taking it to her room I couldn't find my spare mouse and PSU plug. Went out to buy those and 4-way plug socket.
Come, and discover that my old monitor and my sister's old tv VGA ports stopped working.
Moved her desk to her 40 inch tv (with a strip of broken LCD crystals). TV's VGA port works, as I'm moving the TV from bed side table to the desk, the base comes away and the TV slips. After turning the PC on to double check I discover I cracked the bottom right screen that only 3/4 of the screen works.
Tell my mother what has happened. She looks at me to say taht Meg doesn't like her room being moved around. Oh dear.
Meg comes home to me telling her a story of how I made a mess in her room. She walks in to see the computer and the message on the screen:

"Here's your new computer.
There was an accident with the screen.
I dropped it.
I will get you another.
Enjoy.
Now, clean the mess I made."

Meg was fine with me moving the desk and hugged me for the computer. I showed her the TV I was going to buy. She gave me some money to put towards it. She is now getting a £220 32" TV, that should be arriving tomorrow.

PC building, a lot of hassle but worth it in the end.

Edit:
TV arrived on time, discovered it has Wi-Fi built in, which is good as Meg is home ill today.

JAPAN YOU ABSOLUTE BEAUTIES!!! WELCOME TO THE GODDAMN WORLD CUP!!!

(To explain- Japan's rugby side just beat South Africa, one of the most experienced and successful sides in world rugby, for the first time in their opening game of the Rugby World Cup, which is taking place in England. Japan are hosting the next World Cup and have been on the edge of greatness for a while- to say I am quite pleased with this win would be like saying the Pacific Ocean is damp in patches.)

Relatedly, I'm going down to Wembley to see New Zealand vs. Argentina tomorrow. I am SO stoked.
