Ew. Snow. Gross.

Postby Kate! » 01 Dec 2005, 15:29

So, here in lovely Victoria, it's snowing hardxcore.

Gawd.

I'm currently gazing out the window, and it's horendous.

Just. FYI. Snow is cold.

Also FYI. I don't much like the cold.

Thus me being upset about the snow.

It was -15 here in PG yesterday, and STILL NO SNOW.
I love snow this time of year. It covers up how ugly and dead everything is, and it means that we can go sledding and skiing and stuff.
I am jealous of you Victoria peoples right now. [Jay] Damn youse!!!![/Jay]
"I swear it," said the other mother. "I swear it on my own mother's grave."

"Does she have a grave?" asked Coraline.

"Oh yes," said the other mother. "I put her in there myself. And when I found her trying to crawl out, I put her back."

I walked home from school today in the snow...it's like, a 40 minute walk...MAN were my pantlegs ever wet. Snow in Victoria is WAAAYYY too wet!

But oh so bee-ootiful!

PS- I like the cold. It's the hot I'm not so fond of.

My day job (cause this place doesn't pay much... at all) is I work full-time for my university newspaper the Martlet as their Production Designer. I layout the pages, decide on design, how the paper looks etc, and on very special occasions, art out underdrawers.

Also, read my Xbox 360 review here.

From Kevin Smith movies, in particular, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

Sure you did, Graham. I know what kind of folk you Martlet staff are..!

It was actually done pretty well because the Martlet was folded in such a way that you only saw the soft parade if you flipped it. One side of the paper is all wholesome and Christmas-y.

UK, never snows, but when it does it fucks up our transport for noooo reason.

I mean the most snow we get is about an inch, but the ice screws the traction on our cars and so on, and a bit more with me; living on a hill has its downsides, you rev at as low a gear as possible as hard as possible and you just slide backwards... smooooth.

So it doesn't snow enough to be 'winter wonderland' if you will but it ices enough to make things worse than they alreay are.

But I'm okay, I love the cold... well as cold as it gets here... Hah, 3ºc minimum, haha.

You know Graham you damned Martlet peoples could have just shed your inhibitions and posed half nude for gods sake, would've saved you some time...HA HA HA!!!

As for the whole snow thing...I've been dealin' with it for the past month...so don't be talkin' to me about cold and snow in Victoria...it's -7 here today...but then again, as my infamous neighbour once said and I quote.

Good review ;). That actually cleared something up for me; I had no clue what the difference between Xbox Live Silver and Xbox Live Gold were...So, Silver is just basically you get to show off, but with Gold you actually PLAY with others?...weird.

We don't generally get much snow down here in D/FW...what we get instead is freezing rain and ice. We have only been regularly below freezing overnight this week. No ice yet.

Well, I guess its the same here, right?

And if that sig isnt from starwreck, then its from josh lesnick. Or the hundreds of people using a ray gun as a joke...

Any similarities between my quote and teh movies is purely coincidental. It is a reference to my pre-Santa-hatt'd av.
