Yeah, the "rain" looks too flat and appears to be in front of Alex and not all around him.

And since you didn't put any of it under Alex's Chin, it looks like the rain stops AT Alex, but still somehow appears i nthe front of him on either side of him. The rain should still show up in that area of the picture, but just closer to the camera.
