Just brought me one of those Science T-shrits. You other people better get your pre-orders in. I wants that shirt!

All the same, who buys a shirt with a joke on it that they don't get? They might as well go down to Wal-Mart and buy a pack of plain ones.

Yeah, but that involves going into Wal-mart. If the joke is funny on its own, why not put it on a shirt? I mean, if people want it, they'll buy it.

There should be a small counter with the number of pre-orders on it at the bottom of the page. I'd love to see how popular each particular shirt got.

Because it's not a joke, it's a reference. And you don't need to know the reference to appreciate the shirt.TorachiKatashi wrote:Graham wrote:@Vigafre: That's where the quote is from, but we're trying to make t-shirts that people will like even without knowledge of the reference, so it doesn't make sense to mention where it's from. I definitely want to pre-order this, but I'm not sure about sizing. Some sort of guide to the sizes would be really helpful.

Graham, Paul, Matt, or whoever came up with this preordering idea. I just want you to know that this is a fucking fantastic idea. I'll be preordering a long and short sleeve tonight.
Also I really like where this site is going. I was dubious at first with the whole escapist thing but it looks like now you're actually trying to sell your stuff and make LRR work as a business model YET retain your creative control and funny factor. I support you guys 100%.

So what are the chances this will evolve into a LRR Community Threadless type deal?

AND I added $5 worth of buttons. Can't wait to have LRR all over my chest!
...that sounded wrong, didn't it. I blame the drugs.
Edit: Given the amount of lag I encountered trying to load up the store pages, I have to assume this design is doing well...
