Self Image
Re: Self Image
Less hair where?
I sometimes wonder if I am the only women I know that doesn't shave her legs. When not pregnant it's rather thin and just a little fuzzy so it's not really noticeable. I shaved it for my wedding because I was wearing white stockings though and the dark colour was showing though. My husband has actually asked me not to shave it and was a little disappointed when I told him I had done so at the wedding because he doesn't want it to grow in thicker (Even though that's a myth IMO)
I am starting to get a little mustache in my older age (Amost 30... WOO) so I find about once every 5 months or so I shave the upper lip. TMI?

Re: Self Image
I have some pretty nice sideburns, and they can balance out a lot of things. And I have the hairiest legs of any of my friends, so that's a point of pride.
I do have a bit of acne (which is rather to be expected, as I'm 17), but it's pretty tame; additionally, it goes well with my pale skin, noodle arms, and slouch to make me look like the geek that I am. Oh, and the slight coffee-drinker's teeth.
Overall, I think I have good features, and I usually leave the house feeling good about how I look.

Re: Self Image
I'm too fat, and I wear weight too well (Most people think I way 170Lb, but I actually weigh 200, this is not a good thing, because I can ignore it for much longer than is healthy). Also, My arms and legs are too short, but my torso is overly long and my feet are ginormous (12 wide), leaving built like a hobbit (but at 5'9'' I'm a giant of a hobbit, or, by LRR crew standards, just another little person), but, all that said. I really like how my face and hair look. I call it 70% in my favor.
Time flies when I launch grandfather clocks from my trebuchet.

I don't really have an self image thing, so long as I don't fall into the category of looking like a chav or any other sort of commoner.

Re: Self Image
Physically, I guess I'm reasonably happy with how I look, although I definitely could lose a little weight and I could be a little more toned... But overall I'm fine the way I am, and there isn't much motivation to change myself physically!
Psychologically though, its a different matter. I wish I was more timely with everything I did, and to that end could organise my time better, rather than spending so much of it procrastinating and doing things other than what I am meant to. Also I wish I was more confident in myself, so I could be more open around people, actually be able to start conversations with people and not just separate myself from the rest of humanity ^^;

Re: Self Image
My teeth are yellow, and my hair could be far less dry and split-end ridden. I toyed with the idea of wanting to be thinner, but that's not going to happen.
Also Arius?
Please don't complain about being thin and not hairy.
It hurts my feelings so =P

Re: Self Image
I'm 28 and I've been losing hair for quite some time now while the remaining hair is turning white, that sucks, but other than losing a bit of weight I like myself quite a bit.
I might be going bald soon, but at least I have a good beard :3

Re: Self Image
Mild spots/acne, but not too bad. Thin arms- I can get my thumb and little finger around my left wrist. I also have a big arse for a guy, which makes wearing things tucked in very annoying, because it often highlights it due to the changing in fabric.
Weight wise...I think I'm doing ok:

My advice would be to nut up and just go bald, especially if you can pull it off. I've met some guys who started going bald in their twenties so they shaved that shit and controlled it, they seem p happy so whatever.

Patrick Stewart went bald when he was 19. Obviously, it is not the end of the world if you can pull it off.

Re: Self Image
Did you keep it's lucky rabbit foot? I know that's a direct contradiction since it wasn't lucky for the little gourmet fur ball.

NO! DON'T EAT WILSON'S BUNNY! IS CUUUUTE!
Also, WBAGNR, either that's a dick move, or there's something you aren't telling us. Either way, that much weight loss in adolescence is impressive.
As a question of Self-image, how does this affect tattoos and piercings? Does the addition of these things help or hurt one's self-image?
Unrelated, here is my friends most recent tattoo (I think Graham will like this one):

Re: Self Image
That is an awesome tattoo. Also, how those things affect self-image kind of depends on the situation, doesn't it?
Anyway, for me, I guess my self-image would be defined by the word "hope".
I generally like how I look, except that I need to lose weight, but I've convinced myself I'll look much better when I do. So, I guess I have a pretty good self-image in general based on that.

A thicker beard and maybe some more muscle would be nice, but I'm still growing and completely pleased with myself currently.

That tattoo SO reminds me of my friends. He has one of the MST3K logo on his ankle. I would never get a tattoo, but if I had to it would be a MST3K one.
