Seriously? Nothing about that movie looked "good" to me. What was it even about? Maybe I'll see it if I get some positive feedback on it.

Have you seen the Red Band Trailer for it? Its pretty great. http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/co ... nd-trailer

I laughed greatly throughout the movie.

I think the best part of the movie is how little cliches there are. Sure, there are a few, but most of the time when you think one is about to happen, it doesn't.

So... It's a subtle parody of clichés.

Okay, what the hell is with all the movies/games that are doing this now?

Did they run out of ideas, then run out of ideas to rip off so they're making fun of the ideas that were once original and entertaining?

Saw the trailer.

Will watch this film, and probably unironically enjoy it.

I like Tracy Jordan on 30 Rock but I don't know if I could handle an entire hour and a half of that.

I was unimpressed by the 'regular' trailer when I saw it, but the red-band one is much funnier. I may have to go see this movie now!

Fuck redband trailers. They give away the best jokes. If you have any intention of seeing the movie, a redband trailer for a comedy is a horrible idea.

When I first saw the trailer I totally thought it was some sort of clever 30 Rock tie-in/inside joke and Bruce Willis would have a guest star spot on the show. Encouraging to hear you thought it was good, but I rarely see comedies in theatre and so probably not see this one.

I'm really torn. I love Bruce Willis, but I hate Tracy Morgan.

A couple of us just got back from this.

I really enjoyed it. I mean I wasn't going in expecting the best movie ever. As many of you know I'm a huge Kevin Smith fan, and to be honest if his name had been attached to the writing credit I would have been a little disappointed.

It was a silly, loose, buddy cop comedy. The story was silly, the actors were silly. It was just a fun movie to sit back and enjoy.

I prefer hot fuzz as the best buddy cop comedy

Hot Fuzz is definitely better, but there is one part during the interogation scene that was funnier than anything in Cop Out. I don't want to give it away, but for those who've seen it, it has to do with cowboys.

Hot Fuzz wins every time for me, but as a lover of such films (silly buddy cop action), I will have to see this now to compare. Fun times ahead. :)

Note: in Ireland 'ye' is used as the plural of 'you'. It rather neatly avoids confusion online.

I watched during the weekend and laughed my ass off, and yes, it's a fun film, it's like if they took what was fun of the 80's buddy/cop movies and mixed it into a single product, it's just a fun movie.

Looks like everyone involved had a lot of fun with this movie.

Also, Cop-Out is now Kevin Smith's largest opening ever, I think this one will actually make more that just break-even on release, which is awesome since he'll get more directing jobs. :3
