this is why explicit descriptions of sex never work for me and i refuse to use them in fiction. It always sound juvenile or silly or just kinda awkward. The English language has inherited the Victorian neurosis regarding talking about sex, so we do not have words which fit the more recent openness about sex. I much prefer implicit descriptions of sex, which get the idea across without actually referring to the naughty bits directly.

I think the best way I've seen writers handle descriptions of sex is to become much more vague in their euphemisms. "Could feel his excitement pressing against her thigh" say. Or "ran her hands down his length"...
I can't think of any decent examples for female genetalia, which probably says more about my reading habits than anything else.

Although the prize winner will always be a guy from my stand up class who compared the female genitalia to "a cat easting bacon". He was simultaneously lauded and ostracised.
