...I did. For the record.

Whole series is going to be that way, and without splitting in SJ, I'm not liking Detroit's chances...

Yeah, was not surprised by that one. And I have to agree, Detroit might be screwed. We'll make the sharks work for it though.

Thornton is waking up.

This is good news for San Jose.

Predictions for tonight's game; the Hawks will come out hard and fast. Lots of traffic in front of Luongo and defencemen pinching down. I don't expect an especially chippy game but Chicago will be picking up their physical play in one way or another. If they can score an early goal and get the crowd into it they have a chance.

Vancouver needs to hold the line and get some good turnaround plays from the neutral zone. Even if Chicago scores early, you can't count them out; they've come back too many times for that to happen.

Also if Chicago can stop the twins that would help; but as the last game showed, the Canucks are a much deeper team than last year.

I predict Vancouver overcoming a deficit in the second period to win it in OT.

****************************

Aside; every time a team loses due to weak offense, I hear the phrase that they need to "crash the net and take more shots." Why do I keep hearing this? If there's nothing more to it, why aren't you doing it every time? If there is more to it, why do I never hear about it?

See, it's funny cause the Versus coverage of Det/SJ spent a lot of time sucking off Holmstrom for "going to the front of the net" and "duking it out in front of the goaltender".

So there's a game in Montreal tonight. I sure hope the Penguins remember to show up this time.

Four for Franzen...I am beside myself. Even if the Wings DO lose the series, it won't be a sweep and they went down fighting. <3

Looks like the one-goal game this time was Habs-Pens. Go Habs Go! Great job of keeping Crosby off the scoreboard.

You gotta wonder if Crosby's just tired, or if Halak is in his head, or if it's a series of unlucky bounces, or what.

Choice D. Both B and C
Halak's been great IMO, but I've just been watching the highlights. I could see how the unlucky bounces might contribute to him being in Crosby's mind. I respect the talent that Crosby's got, but he plays for Pittsburgh...and as a Wings fan I can't let that slide =P

You've gotta throw in the great defensive job that guys like Gill and Subban are doing to just keep him from being effective too. If Crosby is getting tired it's because those guys are playing hard and physical against him.

Unfortunatley I wasn't able to watch the game last night due to rugby practice so I had to content myself with the recap but I'm all smiles. Habs arn't even supposed to be here let alone going into a best of 3. So I'm happy for every momment more I get to watch them in the playoffs.

The thing I'm pondering is what happens this summer when Halak and Price go free agent.

That's it I can't watch another game in the wings series. I couldn't stand to watch my team get embarrassed so I didn't watch until I heard the score after the first. When I tuned in, in the 4 minutes or so that I watched, we got 3 penalties, and gave up a 5-on-3 goal. I promptly turned off the game.

It is Vancouver. Unwelcome but not unexpected.

It's unexpected to me. We're losing because of mediocre goaltending and because we're taking cheap penalties. Those aren't things this team should have to worry about.

Well I guess I get to watch the Canuckleheads at least one more time this season. Though their play was superior this game, the way the series has gone it wouldn't surprise me if Chicago can bounce back, especially if the Twins keep off the scoreboard.

There's hope. If Luongo plays the same way in the next game, we have a good chance at forcing a Game 7.
