Seriously, these people are weird and talented.
And they aren't the first from Soufrica. There's been a sort of surge in outside interest in this sort of stuff. And it seems to come in several different flavors.
So, South Africa - strange new trend in music?

I'm more into rock myself, so I like this better Also south-african.
I can't stand listening to south african rap. Mostly because Zuid-Afrikaans is so almost entirely but not quite completely unlike Dutch. Seriously, my brain keeps trying to decode it into dutch, but that just doesn't work. It's like listening to someone speaking almost understandable gibberish, but you just cant make out what they are saying.

The girl in Die Antwoord has an awful, awful haircut.
There is a lot of really good music from South Africa.

I've liked the Kwaito I've heard. DJ Mujava is cool. I know of Die Antwoord via Mad Decent.

Afrikaans, even the Dutch think it is gibberish.
