Same here I made this topic hoping for ideas I can work image editing programs well enough I just suck at creativity.

It's odd I'm registered on dozens of forums and have always had no avatar or just used one from a gallery on that site and on one gaming forum a clan logo.

Well if you guys provide me with an idea of stuff you like, what sort of images and ideas you associate with etc. I'll have a go at making some avatars for you both. :)

The only one I liked was slowpoke.

All the rest kind of fill me with small amounts of rage, making me that much more likely to get pissed at his comments.

Even ones that don't deserve it.

Crapshots Ep. 7, yo. (Courtesy Vigafre)

My original avatar was a screenshot from Marathon, because I was trying to prove my geek cred by implying that I used to play Marathon. You know, on my Mac. Back before they were cool. Bet y'all never had an LC. Represent.

And yeah, Jim (Evil); I hope Masa drops by too. I miss that guy. *sniff*

My avatar is the official flag of Fictionalia, the Greenscreen nation.

One of the first places I ever posted on this forum was in the video discussion thread for Emergency Situation. In the video the LRR crew were wearing their generic military costumes and someone complained that they were inaccurate. I informed them that they were, in fact, completely accurate reproductions of the military uniforms from Fictionalia. Then I made a flag.

I have more sensical and pop-culture-y avatars elsewhere. I've considered making one of my runners photos into an avatar here, but I'm always a bit nervous about SHOWING MY TRUE FORM.

Shamelessly nicked from a comic called Blame.

Also I believe the correct term is "valves".

I'm a massive fan of the DCAU. I was particularly fond of the Justice League and recently started rewatching it, and later moved into the Justice League Unlimited, which I hadn't seen, but considering I love DC and the DCAU, decided to watch anyway.

There comes a scene towards the end of the series when a group of C-lister heroes without powers face of against a Hulk like super solider. They weren't winning. After being told reinforcments were arriving, they expeted Superman, instead they got my Avatar, the Crinsom Avenger, who promptly without any thought of how stupid an idea it was, started shooting the Hulk monster with his gas gun.

He was never going to win, was totally out matched, and an obscure C-Lister from the ages when DC was just "Detective Comics" but still attacked anyway and I just thought, "Dude, that was bad-ass"

I now live my life with that bad-ass-ness as my inspiration.

The comic strip I "aquired" it from had Cloud wearing a similar styled Chocobo hat that was made for him by Aeris, she also made the Moogle one for Seppy. It never said whether she skinned the animals. Somehow, though, I can see her doing it. Creeping up on some Moogle and ambushing it (from a real bush) yelling "DIE SO THAT I CAN MAKE A REALLY CUTE HAT YOU MOOOOGLE!!!!!"

I was going to use the same one I used on the Escapist forums but the image was too large or something. I could convert it to the correct size but I suck at that kind of stuff. Keep forgetting to look for a replacement too.

Since there is a thread for avatars I may as well post this here. I've been using this one for several months now & lately I've been in the mood to change it to one of the two below. What do you folks think, any preferences?

You don't have to use small / compressed avatars. Instead of uploading straight from your drive, use the 'link off-site' option in the UCP instead. It's nearly impossible to make an image look good and keep it under 5 MBs.
