What did you recently eat/cook?

Postby Cureless_Poison » 11 Jun 2010, 13:51

I made a lesser Swiss Meat Roll for dinner last night and had some of it for breakfast;
Image

Fry together in a pan:
3 bison patties ground up
Oregano
Basil
Parsley
Paprika
5-6 Mushrooms
Balsamic Vinegar
Worcestershire Sauce

Weave 1 pack of bacon into a mat and place in oven at 300*C,
remove when bacon has contracted enough to hold shape.

Spread the meat mix on the bacon and place 1 Octoberfest sausage in the center and from into a roll. (Use toothpicks/skewers to keep it in shape)

Bake at 300*C for about and hour or till the bacon is cooked to preferred style.

Add with preferred cheese and enjoy the manly dish, HAAAA!!!!!

I made some Alfredo Sauce the other night. I just got to start working at in thee Kitchen at the Olive Garden I've been working at, so now I'm stealing their recipes.

So much butter and cream....

I had tuna steak with a sweet chilli butter, and I came to the decision that tuna is a bland fish with little taste and no reason why I should prefer it over salmon, which frankly, rocks the house down, especially when lightly smoked.

Today: Steamed white rice, though in my defense I am going to a barbecue in half an hour.

Yesterday: Meatballs in mushroom soup sauce with green beans and rice. Deliciousness abound.

Spegettini with a simple red sauce shamelessly stolen from Micheal Smith.

Tomorrow, it'll be either beef stew or nothing, depending on how hot it gets. I cook almost every day, but not so much when it gets hot. :(

The schema of necessity is the existence of effects from given causes in conformity with the common reason of man compelled to go out of its sphere, and to take a step back, or to keep a strict watch for errors, which, overlooked in the principles, may be detected in the arguments themselves--in which case it may be requisite either to determine these principles with greater strictness, or to change them entirely.

Does booze count as food? If I poured it in bowl can I call it soup?

My sister dropped by and brought me Chipotle.

TV dinner and half a box of linguine.

Though for lunch I went to Panera Bread and had their new Tomato, Mozzarella, and Basil salad, whole grain baguette, green tea, and a cinnamon chip scone. SOOOOOOO good. I'm a Panera addict though.

MY FUCKING TONGUE!

Seriously, was chewing up a morsel of day-after take-out pizza, and got two inexplicably sharp projections from the crowns of my molars piercing almost all the way through my tongue. the bleeding's just about stopped, but it's weird - the injured skin is scraping against my cheek, and the tiny seepage of blood tastes...ugh.

And it's totally putting me off eating anything; which sucks, because the pizza is AWESOME. :(

...I guess I'll suck on Lifesavers until things heal up. :x

But just to get back on topic, yesterday I had a wonderful lunch at work, a nicely-made clubhouse sandwich accompanied by some fresh fries that I'd cooked myself (cook knows when to take his breaks ;) ). I'd timed them perfectly and were crisp and firm, yet not browned or cooked right through - still light and fluffy within. Give them about twenty minutes to 'cool down' in the hotcase (fuckers are usually over 200F when they first come out) and they were lovely.

And I have to admit, for a supermarket deli, we make pretty darn good sandwiches - fresh each day and about as good as what the wife or I'd make at home. :) The toasted whole wheat hadn't yet gotten soggy from sitting in the cold case, and the lettuce was still crisp...mmm

(dammit, now my mind's all hungry for more food, while my mouth is telling it to find someone else to handle that stuff for a while! :?)

ADDENDUM: My darling wife has changed our dinner plans in light of my injury; she will now be serving piping-hot glass shards, seasoned liberally with salt and lemon juice. Gawd, I love that woman!

Made a nice curry the other night.

Ate out last night, had a really nice starter. Crayfish wrapped in Smoked Salmon with a nice salad. Very tasty.

The main was a bit of a let down. Sea Bass with Sweet Chili sauce, sadly the chili was too strong and it overpowered the flavour of the Sea Bass.

Cassarole. Macaroni, ground beef and cheese.

Nothing too fancy, but very delicious and filling.
