Guggenheim + YouTube (+ LRR?)

Postby reptile » 17 Jun 2010, 14:48

The Guggenheim is planning an art exhibition consisting of YouTube videos:

I am completely serious when I say that LRR should submit something related to Things On My Head (a compilation, or an "artistic" version, perhaps).

That and maybe "Secret of the Sauce"? The one that got nominated for video of the year?

But that is an excellent idea.

Don't be silly. "Vietnam" is clearly the pinnacle of their 'purely art' videos. That or "November 13, 2003" would be ideal for submission to this exhibition.

I cannot check "November 13, 2003" to see how surreal and arthous it is for it is no longer on the site. :(

I do recall seeing "Vietman" though, but not very clearly. I think maybe one of the Crapshots, like The Accusation, might be pretty good. Or maybe The Basement.

Season 1 DVD for the win, baby!

Unfortunately, it's one of those videos that requires special attention because it uses unlicensed music. It's certainly not your typical LRR video but it still shows Graham is creative, talented & most importantly for this video, clever. All virtues that have benefited LRR over the past 7 years.
