Re: It's the YRR of LRR! Edit the LRR WKKI! FRR GRRT JSSTCC!
Yeah, currently it's still linking to the TestVideoNavigation template. I'm going to wait until I roll out it under the VideoNavigation template name before I change the rest. I miiiiight just call the new one LRRNavigation and wait for them all to change from the VideoNavigation, because changing all of them at once is bound to have some unexpected consequences.

Looks great! Also...
After Season 1, the idea of seasons stopped being relevant.
I like to think that Season 3 will start when they do a full, proper "Season" like they did for Season 1, and Season 2 is anything between 1 and 3.

Re: It's the YRR of LRR! Edit the LRR WKKI! FRR GRRT JSSTCC!
A new feature of the navbar!
I'd already put in a thing that said if there was a Video-Esc parameter, it would add the Category:The Escapist to it. I've added a second thing to that.
If the video doesn't have a Video-LRR parameter, but DOES have a Video-Esc parameter (as a few videos do, like the first Jonny), it's added to a category: "Weekly Updates Only Hosted on The Escapist." This could be useful for putting videos up on the Youtubes.
If the video has neither Video-LRR or Video-Esc parameters, that means it's offline, and it's added to the Offline Videos category.
Any suggestions? Better ways to phrase these categories?

The only thing I can think of that's missing is a transcript link. It seems pretty hit or miss whether or not a video has one, but there are definitely links to some in the content of the weekly sketches. Feed Dump's nav bar automatically generates the link to the blank page, so if it's an eventual goal to have transcripts for everything, that might be worth adding in

Re: It's the YRR of LRR! Edit the LRR WKKI! FRR GRRT JSSTCC!
Sure. I'll add that tonight.
Hmm. Here's something else.
The "Category" marker at the top of the Navbar... I thought X Ways To Y was a category because it used to be one back in the day. Some of the X2Y's have it listed as X Ways to Y, and some have them as shorts.
What should it be?
EDIT: Another question: should we just start linking to the LRRcasts directly on these pages, or should we still give them their own pages? That seems like it's the last thing that will ever get done on the wiki.

My guess was someone copy and pasting the nav bar with out changing the category.
I think we should aim to have LRRcast pages.

Something I'd like to point out, if it's of any help(Not sure if anyone has already said this, but...), is that a week after every Feed Dump is posted to the Escapist, it appears on their YouTube Channel.
Also, I would be willing to add a YouTube link to the wiki every week if necessary... Just putting that out there...

Hey everyone,
Just an FYI, I am going to be upgrading the wiki to the newest version of mediawiki this afternoon, so there may be some down time. Also, it turns out that mediawiki uses a disproportionally large amount of server resources, so Ashton and I are looking into caching solutions that will hopefully speed up the wiki and reduce the load on the LRR server as a whole.
edit - Ok upgrade is done now. The wiki should be on the newest version of mediawiki as well as the newest versions of the extensions. Let em know if there are any issues.

I was still logged in, but I logged out and tried to log in again, and got this message when opening the log-in page.

Ok, looks like the update to the CAPTCHA extension required a change to the config file. I should be working now.

I just noticed that none of the Whatever Things have YouTube links to their page on the Whateverlrr YouTube channel(This is a problem because the main LRR page for all the Whatever Things are down).
Any particular reason for this?

The links to the Whatever Thing videos were created almost five years and no one has updated them since. The Whatever Thing
Looking back I realised that the LRR Wiki is older than the Whatever Thing. It started at the end of Season Three and we are now in Season Eleven.

Re: It's the YRR of LRR! Edit the LRR WKKI! FRR GRRT JSSTCC!
I've been a bit fried lately, as far as the wiki is concerned. I've been trying to keep the On This Day thing up to date, and I haven't quite pulled the trigger on rolling out the new LRR Video Navigation link (which will probably have a different name from VideoNavigation so all those links won't break when I start putting in the new ones).
Meanwhile, there aren't main articles for LRR videos for the last god-knows-how-long now. I've been putting as much energy into other stuff, but even this low load is starting to wear me when I visit the wiki pretty much every day.
If you're still out there, please don't forget about the wiki. Every contribution can help.

Re: It's the YRR of LRR! Edit the LRR WKKI! FRR GRRT JSSTCC!
You know what the wiki needs?
Better biography pages for the contributors.
For instance, Kate's page is tiny, and she's been a big part of LRR since its inception.
I really think we should try to expand those pages, maybe even trying to fill in the blanks with interviews. I've probably mentioned this before, but I actually interviewed Ben Wilkinson when I was IN Victoria because his page was like one sentence and I thought that wasn't acceptable.
I really think this is something we should be looking into. Or me. I should be looking into this.

I added a quote to the LoadingReadyLive Quotes page. As my first edit I think I managed to copy the formatting correctly.

Welcome!
Questions for anyone who can answer them!
Kate's first video is listed as the 2003 Halloween Special. But it looks like her first appearance was the 2003 Christmas special?
Also, she was an assistant editor on Strip Search?

As I recall, she would do the first pass on the Strip Search footage - primarily filtering out unusable footage and when nothing is going on. Then it would be passed to Kathleen who would put together a rough cut, and Graham would do the final pass.

That was the same thing Alex did, right?
Alright then. We can add that when we revamp the actor pages.
