My internet is not reliable right now. I can't edit the wiki while I mess with it. Please take good care of the wiki while I'm out.

(Written on my tablet, one of the only devices that can still connect to the wireless right now.)

EDIT: I think I'm back. I think we got this shizz fixed.

(Hmm, what should be the Featured Article for August? How about Metal Gear August... no, I did that before.)

(Oh! How about Skeletor's Dick? I--fuck, I already did that one.)

This is why it's late.

Any ideas, anyone?

The Whole Story is the Featured Article for August 2016.

Sorry it's late. I need to make up a bunch of them and just plop them in.

So there are two "Crapshots Ep.262", that's going to mess up the automatic navigation... ideas?

Uh, where are they? I can't find it.

If we DO have two crapshots with the same numbers, we can just hardcode in the links on those Crapshots pages, then.

This happens when I go to the Phailhaüs page:

Code: Select all

[a5cadc6b] 2016-08-18 00:31:37: Fatal exception of type "MWException"

That's new… but yeah, it's kind of the elephant in the room (did I use that in the right place?), all pages with extra symbols in their titles are messed up; all pailhauses, season passe, reindeer pate among others.
Is possible to delete these pages and start from scratch? Or should we just let them be?

Wait. Are the pages just plain gone? How did that happen?

I can access the Phailhaus directory page when I'm not logged in, but when I am logged in it gives me that error Robo4900 posted.

The individual Phailhaus pages seem to be landing on a redirect page from when Silverfish moved those pages a couple years ago to fix a prior issue with unicode mangling, but now it's stuck in an infinite redirect loop.

But I thought the original pages would still be there, but on the pages, they're just "here's the redirect." The pages don't have histories.

It's still possible to ask smw for them so the code must be intact somewhere somehow…

Yeah, I'm pretty sure all the pages and content are still there, it's just that with unicode handling messed up, we can't get at them through the browser.

If we ever recover the pages, I say we move every page with a special character to the the same page name without a special character, the same way we have "iPotato" on "IPotato" because of a technical limitation, just so we don't have to do this shit ever again.

EDIT: http://wiki.loadingreadyrun.com/index.php?title=Special:UnusedFiles

So... the pictures for Phailhauses don't appear in the list of "unused files," so that suggests the pages must still be in there somewhere.

So this is a retrieval problem rather than a storage problem.

Edit: Of note, http://wiki.loadingreadyrun.com/index.php?title=Phailha%C3%BCs_-_02_Transcript still works, if that helps figure out the problem?

Huh. Weird that if you click the "Redirected from", it leads to a page redirecting to itself. o_o

I got a PM from felipe about the fact that Qwerpline pages don't have a standardized format.

The thing is... I don't watch Qwerpline, so I'm not really the person to handle this.

What does a Qwerpline page need to function on the wiki? Let's base a standard format on what it needs and work on the templating any other stuff.

Ask him to do a mock up page of how he thinks it should look and let's work from there

Wait a second. Someone just uploaded like fifteen pictures to the wiki today?

And it didn't break?

...What's different? Was it the This Hat page that crashed it last time? Is that page too big? Or did they move to new servers like they said they would?

What's gone on here?

I uploaded new screenshots for a few Whatever Thing videos, from the DVD. I didn't actually know it usually breaks, but it did in fact break for a little while after I uploaded the last one. But I guess it was only temporarily broken?

It could be that the Whatever Thing articles are quite small, it could be that only a few of them are used on more than one page(Some are used for on this day), or it could be that the images were all new versions of older images.

Search me. They might be migrating the wiki to a new server, obviously not having time before DB to do it.
