Post-apocalyptic comedy FTW?
Post-apocalyptic comedy FTW?
Imagine the world just ended and your only guide through the wasteland and the continued survival of the human race was an artificial intelligence that hated your guts. Now imagine I could competently pull that off.
I can't either. But I tried.
The trailer for my new series! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJYHtrZJ_w0&hd=1 Be a dear and make us seem like a bigger deal than we are? If we succeed, we can hire LRR to be a bunch of bunker-dwelling survivalists who have named each other after bands.
Spoiler alert: It's called Apocalypse Wow. It is Kathleen-approved. Thoughts, love, tweets, and fbookage appreciated. You know you're the only one for me.

From just the trailer, I can tell. This is excellent. Excellent premise, excellent execution. Very nicely done.

seriously awesome idea, and I want to see this. Please, get someone to buy it, kidnap their dog if you have to.

Re: Post-apocalyptic comedy FTW?
Hey, I've already Facebooked it, Tweeted it and hatched plans to graffiti it all over my country. Yes... all over England.
You're welcome.
Seriously though, I hope it gets picked up somehow. If Charlie Brooker got away with Dead Set, you'll get away with this.

Re: Post-apocalyptic comedy FTW?
Though, upon further thought, maybe the title could use work. Since there are several thousand Youtube FMV vids with the name "Apocalypse WOW" consisting of WOW machinima or Naruto clips set to Beyonce's Single Ladies. Or something.
That's OK though. When you get picked up for the big time, I'm sure that'll all be worked out in the contract, along with the Big Buck$$$$$$$.

Well, my laptop is, for some unknown reason, being about as technologically advanced as a turd on a stick, but what I did see of the trailer did look freaking awesome. G'luck!

Re: Post-apocalyptic comedy FTW?
There was some sitcome back in the mid 90s that took place after a nuclear apocalypce (the main characters survived because they had pasta on their heads or something, oh and one survived because he was in a volvo when the bombs went off. That's about all I remember about it, and there probebly wasn't much more to be remembered either.
This on the other hand looks cool

I also think a name change would be good. There's too much crap already out there named Apocalypse WOW. It would be a shame to put a piece of comedic gold like this in there.

Ah it's the guy from A Good Night's Quest.
If you make a spin-off series about a guy who shouts alot in the same setting, please call it "Capslockalypse"

Re: Post-apocalyptic comedy FTW?
Now that I have the sound hooked up properly on my computer, I have to agree with several of the posters above. The premise and the trailer look awesome, but the name gives me a serious case of the "meh"s. Hopefully it's just a working title, cause I will find a way to watch this show when (not if) it gets made.
And I say this as someone who doesn't have cable tv...but I DO buy DVDs. Just ask LRR!

LRR mentioned something about a project Woody was working on that they couldn't speak of yet some time ago, and recently i meant to inquire if that had happened yet, because since Elevator stopped ive been getting jitters.

This was pretty decent. I'd watch more.
Though if I was being chased by dudes dressed in body armour through the post apocalypse I would do my best to get some as well.
